TLDR: you didn't miss much if you weren't there. The winds were too high to get upper mountain lifts open. 😢

OMG WHERE ARE YOU I LOVE SNOWBOARDING BUT I LIVE IN TEXAS
South Lake Tahoe at Heavenly Ski Resort. Near the California-Nevada border. We presently need more snow. 🙏 ❄️
TLDR, conditions still suck
Hey man. I appreciate all comments and I hope you don't take offense to this. In my opinion, the conditions never truly SUCK, because I prefer to be on the mountain compared to doing other things. Tough conditions make me a stronger skier and help me to appreciate pow days all the more. I live next to a ski resort. If I waited for ideal conditions, I would ski maybe 20 days per season instead of the roughly 120 days I get each year. Each day I am out I am having fun. To each their own. Things that SUCK I avoid. So I agree with your comment. But my attitude towards the conditions is not exactly the same as yours. 👍
on the negative comments - don't know what it is about skiing specifically, but it seems like online skiing people default to being overly negative/critical, behind the anonymous safety of the computer screen (even moreso than many other hobbies). you see it on youtube, reddit etc. people seem so miserable and its in sharp contrast to meeting people physically at resorts who are usually pleasant no matter who you are! point is its more a reflection on a weird toxic trend than anything about you personally and you shouldn't have to deal with it
@@samshearer7020 Totally agree. There is something about skiing, more than other sports, that seems to provoke people into criticism. Also, the percentage of experts that I observe at ski resorts seems to be much lower than the percentage of experts on the internet. 🤔
Thanks for the shoutout 😄
I am sorry that I mis-stated your handle as Angelina Outdoors instead of Angelina Outside! 🤦♀️ Note to self: I need to do better fact-checking before I post. I hope that interested viewers can still find your channel easily enough. 🧐
@@Skye-JP No worries at all! :)
Bell mountain is my absolute favorite place to ski in all of Aspen! And don't worry about looking like you are in the backseat with the POV cam. Everyone looks like that. Awesome skiing!
Awesome skiing!
Does it get the most snow in Colorado?
Trees in November? Wow
@@joesalemi2414 Yes, those locals were bold, even though Wolf Creek had 64" of snow fall already. I was amazed that my skis came out unscathed. Those guys seemed to know the lines and also exactly how much snow it takes to cover them. They were saying things like "you can ski over there the next time we get at least 9 inches of fresh". That knowledge must come from decades of skiing WC. Under those conditions, I wouldn't have hit those trees on my own because I don't ski there regularly. Was happy to have met those locals! There were some nice spots.
Good tunes. I can nearly watch people on Paja from my Livingroom here in Espanola. Enjoy...
Looks amazing! What day was this?
@@angelinaoutside It was Sunday November 17th. 😊 Saturday was cloudy and relatively cold, but Sunday was nice.
will be there in 6 days
@@AndrewMoore-jf8vu The base there is excellent right now... 6 days looks to be right about when the next storm is predicted to arrive. Good luck 👍

@@nathanaelmoore It is an under rated mountain in my opinion... I've been there on excellent powder days in the past. Enjoy 😊

Where are all the other Skiers at Heavenly?
That video was from a Saturday at noon. April 6th. Conditions on the face were relatively firm compared to the rest of the mountain. ⛷️ 😊
Nice endurance!
whats your ski setup
@@MttlJonas Totally depends on the day. I own over a dozen pairs of skis. When it is firm I like my Stockli Nela's that are 80 under foot or my Volkl Secret's that are 96mm under foot. In this video, I'm skiing my Atomic Bent 100mm under foot. In powder I like my Armada White Walkers that are 117mm under foot or else my Icelantic Nomads that are 105mm under foot.
scraping more than a knuckle dragger
On that day, the snow was softer than it seems on video. (You can see layers peeling in front of me in the middle of the run.) I enjoy the variability in conditions on that run. I have fun there no matter if it is icey, scrapey, peeling, powdery, et cetera. Each of those present a challenge that I enjoy: finding the most-efficient, flowing technique to match the conditions. I often have a great time on that slope even when the snow isn't fresh.

I'm the person in the pink Frida Kahlo jacket. Everyone on reddit says that I can't ski. 🤔 I was waiting to straight line that pow, then my friend turned in front of me. I exhibited CONTROL with a hard right turn while smiling and chuckling. F*ck reddit. Everyone on reddit is somehow better at skiing compared to me. 🧐
I love your video same his boy, Kingston, and Elijah. We love your videos so much and I hope you hit 10 million subscribers me too.
Do you have a Strava or some kind of map for this one? I am a newer mtb'er & am looking for easier, flow trails. My daredevil days are done.
I think this could be an excellent trail for you because it is extremely easy and non-technical by mtb trail standards. I used an app called map my run by under armor, here is a link to a picture that shows my route. This is a well known trail around here, there is probably a lot of info elsewhere as well. 😊 imgur.com/a/ub69bS2
@@Skye-JP thank you. Found it on Trailforks, too.
Bjork?
That small pine tree, about halfway through this short, getting totally lit up by sunlight, inspired me to pair this simple, yet gorgeous ride, with music by Björk. 😊
Tiny amounts of air on the initial cut-across made for excellent sound. About 10-15 seconds before the end of the clip, I was surprised by a change to the fall line that included a burgeoning tree. 😊
Nice run!
Thanks! 😊
Awesome run...amazing skills and cardio strengthen. Great job, very inspiring- thanks for posting!😀
Thank you for the compliment!! When I first started regularly skiing GB it required far more cardio because my ski technique was not efficient. Now that I have a few thousand laps under my belt, the cardio demands are less. I love that run because it is constantly varying. I never know what to expect on a given day. That provides me a challenge: I need to adapt to the conditions of the day. I also like that the non-manufactured bumps allow me to creatively improvise on line selection and execution. Way more fun & exciting compared to lapping a groomer in my book. 😊
Wow - that's an insane run, your a far more intense skier than I am. I guess that's one of the big differences between west coast and east coast runs. Chest mount camera looks great too for the video quality (what strap are you using?). All the best and God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸
Thank you! I am using the "chesty performance mount" strap from gopro. Item AGCHM-001. I learned to ski on the East Coast, at Labrador Mtn. near Syracuse, NY. Cheers. 😊
I miss the bumps. Good job
