Transforming Your Vinyl Shutters With This Simple Painting Hack!!!
You've definitely improved. Keep up the great work.👍🏿😊
Thanks for the support!
Sir can I use epoxy to glue a transparent acrylic piece to other acrylic and if yes will it show any kind of mark of glue or will it be clear.
It kind of depends. The way I used the epoxy, you won’t see it on the front. Although it dries clear, it is definitely noticeable. The way I build my boxes, I’m not overly concerned with it showing. I say all that to say, I don’t have a good answer for you. I would experiment on a few test pieces and see what results you get.
What small hand saw was that you were using to cut the maple inserts?
It’s a Japanese flush trim saw. I added a link to the tools I used in the description
Very helpful video! Do you have a preferred method for prepping the wood beforehand? Thank you!
Thanks. I didn’t do much to prep the wood. I swept and moped to ensure the tape would have no problem adhering.
That's awesome. Do you sell your work online by chance? Or maybe take custom orders?
I do! I sell them on my website. Www.Readysetbuildit.com
Air force rank? Navy patches? Otherwise great wood work
Wow!
🙏🏾
that’s so cool, what an amazing opportunity
Thanks. Right!
Now do it with the wood on its side
Looks like a good solution. Might have to get some of these.
Well worth it
You killed it, man! Looks fantastic! And thank you for your service, it's much appreciated. I laughed out loud when I saw you in the robe working on a glue-up. Been there... done that! haha
Thanks Drew. I appreciate your support. You know, I went into the garage for a ginger ale and ended up wrist deep in a glue up lol
Nice recovery. Good save on the hard work.
Thank you
Looks really nice. Well done.
Thanks Doug
I thought that was T.O in the thumbnail
Hahaha
Thanks for sharing! I'm going to build a couple today with my tablesaw tenoning jig, and that was very helpful. 👍👍
Awesome! Glad it helped. Happy building.
This is Beautiful!
Thanks
This is beautiful, Andrew. I also love how you were able to make anologies with woodworking and choosing a career and sharing your story. Very good video!! Hope fully many young'uns will find this video inspirational. Nice job❤❤
Thank you! 🙏🏾
What mic do you use?
Rode go II wireless dual channel
That is so dope! But I think its still appropriate for you to commemorate your own 14 years with a shadow box. It's not all or nothing - you still did your part. And thanks for your service!
Thank you for the kind words. It was one hell of a ride
That came out great! I’ve been thinking about making a shadow box for my helmet, patches and back name plate. I dislocated my shoulder last year (not LOD) and ended up having surgery. We came to the conclusion that I shouldn’t do EMS full time anymore and I don’t feel comfortable/safe doing firefighting duties with the way my shoulder is. So, 26 years of EMS and 32 years of firefighting came to an end, not the way I planned. I got into woodworking and have made a few urns and a flag box. We had a 1600 acre wild fire here 2 weeks ago (oddity for MA) it was different not being there.
Sorry to hear. I think you should go ahead and do it.
Beautiful!
Thank you
Nice job. What glue on these boards? Thanks
Always Titebond 3 for its waterproof properties
@ReadySetBuildIt thank you!
How long is the tape good for? Is it easy to rip the carpet up? I feel like my kids would try and rip them up and id rather do this option since its super simple
I can’t answer as to how long the tape is good. You will have to ask the manufacturer. I will say they have been down for 2 plus years and there is no sign of movement. It is tape so if you deliberately pull at them, it will come up eventually. At this price point they are worth every penny.
@ReadySetBuildIt sweet 🤙 I'll definitely do this once I put in the new risers and treads on my stairs I would be replacing the tape every couple of months anyways to wash the carpets
Are you able to tell us the angles of your cuts?
I go over them in the full TH-cam video
I have no clue about stains and finishes. If i had finish maple cabinet, how can i get a durable. finish that look like a spraygun with streaks and marks?
Slapping the camera was kinda lame
Yo! That’s a new one. I’ve always used the under your foot, twist and push straight down method. Thanks for the video tip!
Of course.
Great video
Thanks!
What are the specs of the compressor? CFPM? PSI? Gallon size?
It’s a 6 gallon pancake compressor from the big box store. You can check their site for specifics.
Very creative. I think I'd read more if I had something like this. Bookmarks are overrated, lol.
Thanks. Check out my website if you want one
Neat work. Wouldn't have thought of this
Thanks
Staining them before gluing keeps the stain from bleeding thru. lol
It does on a flat flag but causes for an inconsistent glue up. Not sure what’s funny.
Team work make the dream work thumbs up
I appreciate you
At first I thought, he cut that one side way too short. But then I saw where you were going with it and wow, I really like what you did with that design. Great job.
Thanks friend.
Just a helpful note that you want to make sure the wires are fully intertwined and twisted/braided from the top where the wires are stripped, down to an inch of the unstripped portion so when you screw on the wire nuts, so at least 1/2 inch of the wire under the wire nut is braided. This ensures the wires don't lose contact with each other, or come loose or fall out of the screw nut over time. This can happen due to the vibration of the fan. If the fan works intermittently, loose wires could be the issue.
good video - I'll take it on myself next time I need to seal my driveway. Way to go Pops!
You’ve got this!
Very good
Thanks
I am a woman attempting to reseal my driveway myself, hoping it's as easy as it looks! Thanks for informative video.
You got this!!!
Thank you.
🙏🏾
So how do you clean the treads when it’s time
Same as any carpet. Vacuum it.
@@ReadySetBuildIt I said CLEAN them because the treads tear when your lift them but anyway I found out how to clean them
@@Tonibey1 I’m not sure why you would need to clean them while the carpet treads are down. They are taped to the stairs. That would defeat the purpose of affixing them. I’m glad you figured it out though.
My kid did the same thing to mine, this video is a big help!
Got to love them lol.
Cool. And for the table?
Not sure what you are asking.
Not sure what you are asking.
Thanks for this video. Can you suggest what type of sealer and crack filler to get? I'm looking at Menard's website and they have a bunch of sealers. Good job on your driveway, you have a lovely home.
I've seen these before, but they all presume a square fence. If fence is square why the jig? If fence is not square to blade the jig will just give parallel sides.
They do presume a square fence because it is important you verify and adjust so your fence is square. What isn’t always square is the lumber. Any lumber you run against a square fence will only mirror its current shape (out of square) when passed through unassisted. This jig gives you the opportunity to create a new reference (square edge) so you can flip your board and achieve a coplanar square edge. Understand that you don’t have to place your board firmly against the jig to straight edge rip. The toggle clamps allow you to cheat your board out as far as you need to while maintaining safety. So your last statement is correct, but you miss the point of the jig altogether.
Wow, that’s really special! Nice work! 🎖️
I appreciate that
Great idea, Awesome job!
Thanks
Great video 👍
Thanks John
Seems like a step wasted, way faster to make sure they are same size before glue up and just use some nails and make sure they are lined up. I do it everytime we make doubled up shelves dont really need clamps, could just stack them and get a heavy board or two to stack on top
Making me one so I can edge joint some lumber for a dining room tabletop.
Awesome! Happy building.
