The tenth anniversary postmortem of The Nostalgia Teen
Yes, I’m back one more time. Though more to reflect than anything else. Hard to believe it’s been a decade and moving on from ripping off Doug Walker is a necessity.

It took some real digging through an old computer, but I found Mark Watter's original promo score release for the film Doug's 1st Movie. Enjoy!

So here's something super-obscure I haven't seen a word of at all on the internet. What we have here is a country album featuring artists prominent in the mid-90s singing country standards with the Looney Tunes characters. I've had this on my computer for about two years after getting it through interlibrary loan but haven't seen a word about it online, maybe it's obscure enough to share withou...

Best thing I have ever watched in my life, I love the cow.
his mom’s coat wasn’t green it was turquoise
I think that the line "It's our right as babies to watch cartoons" should serve as an obvious hint of what eventually led to that stigma of animation as a children's medium because it started during that particular time period that this flashback sequence took place in. Since this was also during the same time period the Interstate Highway System was literally paving its way into the scene, I figured that by television being utilized to keep kids quiet, they mean use it as a coping mechanism to deal with any stir-craziness the kids themselves would normally have to deal with, especially in between schooltime due to dealing with the unfortunate reality of not being old enough to drive yet. I'm just glad my mom finally retired so that both us us can spend quality time with each other more often!
My father is a moron, and so is my Grandma Ainsworth.

George had been talking to Beaker. Beaker said something, and George had replied, "Yes, the schedule changes are my favourite part of the conventions too." It's from Muppets Tonight. I think the whole episode was set on a cruise ship.
It's awesome that they got June Foray to voice Blocky, but I wonder why they couldn't get Keith Scott to play Oxwinkle.
Because Keith Scott is an Australian voice actor, mainly voicing characters just for Australian broadcast. So at the time Bullwinkle didn't have a voice actor since his original one, Bill Scott, passed away in 1985.
@Ability-King-KK Well, I knew that, but Bill had known of Keith for doing very accurate impressions of his voices. Before Bill passed away, he personally named Keith as a successor to do the character in later productions.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the kind of parenting that we need today!
My respects to Grandpa Lou for turning off the TV and not allowing Stu and Drew to watch their favorite cartoon show until they can learn to behave themselves. The man has obviously had enough of their constant bickering.
Name of episode?

Might be the funniest line ever in a movie.

Tricia Holmes: MORONS!!!!!!!!! I’M SURROUNDED BY MORONS!!!!!!!!!!
Funny enough, at the time episode episode premiered, Nickelodeon was actually showing "Rocky and Bullwinkle" reruns, under the title "Bullwinkle's Moose-a-Rama!"
*NO MORE BLOCKY AND OXWINKLE!*
When did this air? This looks around when he passed away
It said end of April 1989 at the beginning. This was a little over a year before he passed.

Lou's Devil: "Good job, Lou! Those little brats deserve to be punished!" Lou's Angel: "I completely disagree! Don't forget what you were like when you were their age. Maybe they wouldn't do bad things if you showed a little patience and looked after them more often. Besides, everyone makes mistakes."

It's so interesting to see how this sort of puppet technology evolved and developed Big Bird on Sesame Street to the Gorgs on Fraggle Rock Sid The Science Kid.
