    Hi there, interesting video I'm curious as to these types of builds and what advantages/disadvantages there are to using them. Been a bow hunter for over 35 years- started of course with wooden shafts, then onto Al (still use Al) and carbon shafts. Got plenty of game over the years. Maybe you've already made some video about my question or someone else here can chip in.

    Does helical fletching automatically cause parachuting or does it depend on the degree of helical?

    • @jackbuendgen389
      @jackbuendgen389 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the degree of helical. Parachuting will also be less with heavier arrows. I personally like using a helical clamp and a 2-3 degree helical.

    What are your thought on sorting the vanes by weight? I did this with my Tac driver 2.75. I had two groups about .5 grain difference. Almost like they have two seperate molds.

    Can you provide a list of the tools/equipment that you use for the making of the arrows? A source of where to purchase would be great. Thank you

    I am curious your tuning that out shirt and gluing it in, what about the Broadhead how do you spin tune a broadhead if the insert doesn't move.

    Why did the vane(s) come off?

    • @arrowjunkie
      @arrowjunkie ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Robert, the force of the impact was so great it busted a nock and shook off a vane. It's also possible that that arrow had already passed through a target and weakened the glue bond.

    I have a quick question about arrow spines. I use a spine app on my phone. It asks for arrow carbon to carbon length. However, my black eagle deep impact outsert is an inch deep. Do I still count the inch that is in the outsert on my calculations? For example do I tell the app my carbon to carbon measures 28" when only 27" is sticking out of the outsert?

    • @arrowjunkie
      @arrowjunkie ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely use the carbon to carbon measurement without the outsert.

    • @TheBlazingPepper
      @TheBlazingPepper ปีที่แล้ว

      @@arrowjunkie include it even if that part doesn't flex because it is covered by the outsert?

    Best arrow building videos I've seen 👌 When arrow spine isn't marked, how do you locate the spine? Also, do you build xbow arrows?
