I'm glad to see the Euphoniums getting deserved love bc in my band we get a bit overshadowed by trombones bc our 1st chair trombone is one of the best, if not the best, in the state.
As a mellophone I played euphonium it is fun I would rather play euphonium but it can sometimes be difficult and sometimes the people who play that instrument are cool 💃
Euphonium is not a instrument to mess with it requires to reach second to third octave as a begginer player As per other instrument are usually not like that
bro Why am I the only girl Euphonium player in 6th grade?!?!? But I mean I did get switched from playing the flute because of my mouth shape and now I have been playing the Euphonium for almost a year and I still need help!
I miss Euphonium, I was a baritone/euphonium player for 6th-9th grade, last year, when I was a Freshmen, I was a Euphonium player, my band played this piece last year (we play it every year) it was so much much fun, they switched me on tuba now, I enjoy sleigh ride on tuba, but euphonium is more fun and more complex, I still think Euphonium is one of the best of the Brass, even if I’m a tuba player
I appreciate the content of the video. It shows how the background players actually feel during the piece being played. It was almost boring to them till she got that Jazzy part and her whole demeanour perked up. The music doesn't sound full, without those background tones! They're just so boring to do, like, who appreciates them...EVERYBODY !
Hi there, fellow Euphonium/Baritone Horn player here! I also love playing Sleigh Ride. The countermelodies and that fun Jazzy section are just great. I even enjoy that bridge section after the first pattern of the percussion using the slapstick, though I'd say that is the most difficult part to learn when you first play the piece because of that dreaded F flat (right around the 2:00 mark in your video). I am glad you did a POV for the Euphonium part in this piece because I've seen a lot of the other ones for other instruments and just yesterday I was thinking, "geez, wouldn't it be nice if there was a POV Euphonium part for this, that would be great!" And here you are, thank you! I've been playing the Euphonium/Baritone Horn for 16 years now. My favorite pieces I've had the privilege to play would have to be a lot of Sousa marches, both Military Suites by Gustav Holst, the first 3 Pirates of the Caribbean Symphonic Suites, and a concert band arrangement of Procession of the Nobles. I hope you two have as much fun as I have had learning your instrument and beyond!
that little jazzy section where euphoniums have melody w/ like trumpet is sooo difficult. my director cut all 3 euphonium players (including myself) in my band off of cause we couldn't play lol
Taylor swift clone
Star of next year’s “Taylor Swift’s Euphonium Cover Band Eras Tour II”??🤔
As a Trombonist, I officially declare war on all Euphoniums. It’s nothing personal, it’s just that a mini tuba can play the same notes as us 😆
I HAVE THE POWER 100TH COMMENT
Always love Euphonium perspectives! They play a huge part in the song.
What school is this it’s sounds so good I want to move thwre
im a new band player and im enjoying it (i play trumpet)
Good job but don’t get lost lol
The other euphonium looks like he's plotting a devious plan against the band director lol
As a tenor, I’m very obligated to say we have the better part
2:24 gotta be my favorite part they play
Finally the euphoniums pov is here
Ah yes, GFAG for like 8 measures, the melody I never knew I missed until I had to cover trombone 2 because our college has no trombones
I saw the same backdrop from a percussion POV!

Can anyone whistle the horn parts? (Hint - they're in the percussion section.)

every school has a rusty crusty instrument from 1398 or somthin, my school's crusty intument is the baritone sax, you?

my trombone needs to be polished so badly. it looks like an ancient artifact from the prehistoric ages or some shit
I played a 1910 Cleveland school tuba that plays better than anything made today.
I like hearing all the instruments individually

Practice more.
I refused to let it beat me. I worked my tail off on that part.
