Yes, I still have the DVD but honestly... As of today in 2024 you are better off doing, what I did 2 years ago and invest your money on something called a V-Line VL2 system by GROM Audio... If you watched the video the navigation system tells me how long it would take to do the update. Which was about 3hrs. As far as the key position. I had the car running/on/idling in park with parking brake engaged outside on my property in a safe location, before updating the software. I didn't mention to turn off any accessories due to the fact vehicle is running and idling in a safe location where I can keep an eye on it. Also in the video I said this update was for Cadillac CTS 08-13 not 2014. By 2014 the 3rd gen CTS came out with the CUE system. Which is NOT what is in this video. All 2nd Gen CTS came with this system if the vehicle was equipped with the navigation option. All 2014+ CTS came with CUE if equipped. Hope this helps. Thanks for your feedback... 👍

@@TheMaddPCGuy Yes I hear what you're saying now, but where it counted was to be in the video to begin with. Tell the audience the setup from the very beginning. I myself, left the car in my garage. I turned the key to the "on" position but not started. I disengaged the automatic headlights so they would turn off and not drain the battery. So the only electric running was the entertainment system and the instrument lights. I did not start the car. My total update took 2 hrs. All went well, I wasted no fuel and I got my update.

Is there an update dvd more recent than 2016? GM only offered a 2016 revision. My 2012 nav system is actually missing a couple of St Louis Mississippi River bridges!

The DVD will just update whatever was new before 2015...!!! I haven't checked to see if a new version of the software is out, prior to 2015 but the graphical interface remains the same...!!!

No new apps, as this is just a navigation/map update...!!! Your call if you want to spend the money to update your maps in your car...!!!

Yes, I got a dashmat from covercraft.com to protect the dash from the hot sun, where temps can get over 110 degrees. In the summer...!!!

I asked the same thing. Dude did not do well here. He should have had the car off and explained everything from the beginning. I did one before and what you do is sit in your passenger seat. Turn the car all the way to the "on" position but not start. Then you need to handle your lights. Make sure no lights or unnecessary electric is running. Then di the disk part as he explained. Now get out of the car VIA THE PASSENGER side and close the door. The system will stay on until you actually go into the car via the driver side and open the door. I know this because I actually drained my battery once by accident by turning the key fob all the way "off" but the infotainment system was still on but I exited the car from the passenger side. Unlike if you do that from the driver side (the system will turn off) the passenger side does not have that affect. It will stay on.

The navigation stays the same as it does not improve the graphical interface...!!! the only thing this DVD updates are new streets, highways, freeways or roads prior to 2015 in North America...!!!
