Wandering Kenn
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 10 ก.ค. 2017
These videos of my travels as a digital nomad are meant to allow my family, friends and students to roam the world with me. I tend to wander around without a fixed plan, discovering what comes my way. These are not your typical tourist-focused videos, rather digital logs of the sites and adventures in my daily life.
I'm spending 2024 exploring South America and Spain.

Muy bonitas tomas. Pero muy rápido 😊
Hola! Gracias por el comentario
what was the cost of living in this region of Colombia?
I found it to be a bit middle-of-the-road for Colombia as far as costs. It's a lot cheaper than the coast though.
Ive been to these places since my hometown is Jacksonville which is near St. Augusine.
Yes, I remember that you are from Jax
Hi Kenn! I'm Pat . Do you remember me from Taiwan ? I'm heading back to Florida in Nov. to visit my brothers& take care of some matters, then I'll head to....
Howdy, Pat!!!
I love Bucaramanga. It's my favorite city too!
It's a hard city not to love
Hi Did you fly into Pereira? Wondering what the transport is like to Chinchiná from the airport, I’ll be visiting soon.
No, I arrived by bus from Medellin. For Chinchina you'll probably need to take a bus or taxi to the center of Pereira and then a bus from there.
@@WanderingKenn this is great info, thank you so much.
DId you do the reading?
Sorry, I don't understand
Donde están los lugares mas faciles en Pereira para caminar y no con colinas?
No sé. Solo pasé unos días en la ciudad
Gracias por mostrar nuestra ciudad.
Gracias a usted. Me encantó Pereira. Que joya de ciudad es.
Hi there. I am a new subscriber. Recently, I was in Medellin, Columbia in February 2024. Since I have seen this video! I will be making travel plans for Santa Marta. Thank you for the great video of this beautiful Haven.
Thank you so much for subscribing! I'm glad you liked the videos. Let me know how the trip to Santa Marta goes.
Hello Kenn, it's beautiful
Thank you!
Thanks for this video, just tighten up your framing and composition a bit and you'll be golden.👍
Thanks for the tip!
Qué bonito! Gracias!!
Gracias, cuñada
Saludos amigo que dios te bendiga siempre
Hola, Rosa
No, Its a shame there are man eating reptiles living in a public park.
WHO is even considering molesting a gator???? Nawwwwwwww Worse is that most people are probably feeding the birds ( usually bread- which is BAD for birds) and all the commotion with the birds just reves up the gators to invextigate....
You're probably right. Of course, there are always some idiots everywhere
*who made that sign necessary*
Some idiot 😛
Hi aảe you Ken? I recognized your deep, warm voice immediately. I am Hieu. 😂
Hey, Hieu!!!! So good to hear from you.
Cuando vienes por la guajira
Ya no estoy en Colombia
Gracias ❤por mi pais
Gracia a usted. Me encanta Colombia!
I've been out here quite a while now and do like to visit Asuncion a few times a year. Nice to see it through the eyes of a first time visitor. A reminder of how interesting some of the places I've walked past many times are
Thanks for the feedback. I like Asuncion a lot. It surprised me very pleasantly.
I'll be in Pereira in 2 months. Eje Cafetero is very chill.
I hope you enjoy it. I definitely enjoyed my time in Pereira. Make sure to visit Salento too.
@@WanderingKenn i will definitely visit this time around. I visited pereira for the first time last summer but my spanish was terrible.

Love you and your adventures
Thanks, love you too
My province! I am surprised about how many small non-touristy cities and towns you travelled around here. Regards.
I saw a lot of the province because I was looking for land (una chacra) to buy there. I didn't in the end.
@@WanderingKenn oh, I see. And why especifically here? Just curious. Land is very expensive for us Argentines, I don't know how are the prices for people with stronger currencies like American Dollars or Euros. I think that Paraguay probably has cheaper lands in comparison and a good portion of the country has a very similar environment to Misiones, and also a quite similar culture.
I have limited knowledge of the country, versus other more popular South American countries. Cool video.
Thank you. Paraguay was a county that surprised me in great way. I highly recommend it.
was there in october last year servatour waikiki for me birthday 5 days bliss. 2nd time in canaries.
Thanks for the comment. It's a nice place. In fact Gran Canaria is my home base when I'm not wandering.
will be there in 5 days woooo
You'll be arriving just as I'm hitting the road again to go exploring.
It's always been a well-put-together city compared to many others in Colombia. I lived there 35 years ago and when I had to visit other cities it was often a big come-down when it came to parks, sidewalks, and traffic.
It is an amazing city, probably my favorite in Colombia
Cual es la dirección exacta para llegar ahí
Es 2 horas al oeste de Ciudad de Panama. A lado de Coronado
💩
Hallo, nice video
Thank you!
Agradable ciudad
muy agradable. Es la ciudad que mas me gusto en Colombia
So quietly
Me or the village? :)
A little slice of paradise, nestled in the mountains
I really liked it. Honestly, it felt like I was in Spain.
Minor detail, but from this video, I noticed that the policeman was holding a sign that said "Pare" and not "Alta".
You have a sharp eye!
When I lived in Santiago and would visit the area, I would usually go to Viña and not Valpo. I might have been missing out!
The airbnb I stayed in was right on the line between the 2 cities so it was easy to visit both. I found Valpo to be more interesting on the whole but Viña to be more convenient.
@@WanderingKenn Vina has all those nice wide streets at right angles, easier for a tourist to find their way around!
A lot of those are things that I have shown in my own videos--- only I broke it down into many different videos. In part because San Jose is so chaotic, it seems like every few blocks I am in a different city.
Interestingly, the locals there were surprised that I would even visit San Jose. They all advised me to go elsewhere in Costa Rica. I didn't stay in SJ, only made a couple of short trips into the city from the outskirts.
Before I came to Costa Rica, and looking at the maps, it looked like it would be an easy country to walk in. My experience turned out differently!
I enjoyed the walk, but walking there means spending a least a part of the track on very busy highways.
@@WanderingKenn It has been a bit of a disappointment how car centric it is here! Life as a pedestrian can be kind of hectic.
I used to live a block away from Plaza de Armas! This video brought back some great memories. I think you showed a good cross section of Santiago.
Santiago was a city that really surprised me. It was much more cosmopolitan than I had imagined. And the surroundings are just beautiful.
@@WanderingKenn I lived there for three years, and during that time, I visited 49 of the 52 comunas of the RM. One thing that is a little disappointing, if understandable, is that most tourists/migrants (meaning my fellow English teachers) only visited the five comunas of the east, Las Condes, Providencia, Santiago Centro, etc. After I had been there for a while, I wanted to see more, so I would just pick a random Metro or bus and go see the rest of the city!
That's awesome. I went to Puntarenas a few weeks ago and I'm looking forward to going back.
Quepos is definitely nice for a couple of days.
@@WanderingKenn One thing that has surprised me is that it is pretty hard to get to the coast and back on a day trip. :/
