features of the Lego camera. (Stop Motion film)
Recently got this little Lego set, after building all three instruction sets included with the pieces, I stuck with the film camera. I made a few modifications (mostly to the front), and then shot this film.

I discuss some petty rules lawyer-ey nonsense about D&D.
hardware in review, the Nintendo DS history.
มุมมอง 269ปีที่แล้ว
I talk about the hardware of all the major revisions of the Nintendo DS. Why did I do this video? No idea, the whim just took me. consider this a sequel of sorts to the Xbox controller video I guess, another in this line of hardware discussions might be on its way.

these are some 3D models I've made in Blockbench over the past week or so, it's been a lot of fun trying out the software. If you (yes you, the one reading this) have any suggestions for things I could model next, I'm all ears.

The best game controller.

I saw the announcement of RetroFighters Hunter controller for original xbox (honestly, that is a very OG Xbox name, according to my calculations, at least 2/3 of its playerbase were named hunter), and I was having a discussion about how I want a duke inspired controller instead of a Controller S clone. That led me to the desire to talk about why I like the Duke controller, and so this video was...
Ayy this is Really Nice! Specially with How hard stop motion is when human hands are involved
Cry bout it
Great quality video!

The display technology was ass when the first DS came out. Newer displays, such as the ones found on the 3DS (in 2D mode), are both brighter and more color accuate. We can see more of the artists intent on how they wanted the game to look with newer display technology.
I disagree. Early GBA games were designed around non-backlit screens, and their overly bright colors were often only present as a compensation for that, arguably it is less accurate to the creator's vision to see those graphics on the lit screens of an SP, Micro, or DS, because the decision to make the colors so garishly bright was one of usability, and was dampened by the dim-ness of the screen itself. In the same way I'm sure many artists working on early DS games targeted the screen the players would actually be using when playing the software, so reproducing the image on a screen which reproduces colors in a different way would result in an experience innacurate to the artist's original vision.
@@InnoVintage Non backlit screens will look different depending on the brightness and color temperature of the light you are surrounded by, therefore altering the artists intent. Backlit screens can reproduce the exact same colors no matter the color of the light around you. This makes the artists intent more reproducible. Finally, all displays do the same thing. They mix red, green, and blue light together to create an image. Newer displays do this much better and more accurately. Again, helping us potentially see how the artist(s) intended something to look.
It's a lot more fun to say "You can certainly try" and have them roll, then to just say "nuh uh you get eaten by the dragon" I've heard people say before that a nat 20 is the *best possible* outcome, not always an automatic success. I think the point of not giving a shit what the official rules are is the most productive thing you said in the video
Looks like it has seen 3 uses already, nice work!
my problem with the original Xbox controller is its mostly hollow, it feels a lot lighter than I think it should be, its also quite fragile compared to the 360 and the s model Xbox controller, I've never used the hyperkin duke controller so maybe its better in that regard
the builtin LCD on the hyperkin duke definitely adds some weight, though I imagine that if you had memory cards and/or the headset adapter it would be significantly more weighty. of course nowadays Xbox live is dead (though, there is a fan project slowly reviving it with replacement servers that I'm keeping my eye on), and every Xbox has always had enough hard drive to make the memory card irrelevant, so the weight issue stands.
@@InnoVintage i doubt a memory card would add much weight, and more weight on the front of the controller would be worse in my opinion. I don't like the n64 rumple pak for that reason
Its not light it does have weight
@@svc-arcade what do you mean
I mentioned that this being the hyperkin controller instead of the original matters, why? because it has digital buttons. the sixth gen went a little analog crazy, and both the xbox and PS2 had analog face buttons that just felt way too mushy. thankfully, the new duke fixes this issue, and the controller's flaws are lessened because of it.
I think the mushiness is more caused by age and wear and tear since i have a ps3 controller that has very clicky buttons
@@James64 did they keep analog buttons all the way through to the PS3? I never knew
@@InnoVintage yep, a few ps3 game i know of use pressure sensitivity, also the original ps3 was fully backwards compatible with ps2 so they kind of had to
