Curious, I haven't observed issues like that with mine, but on a product like this, I also expect quality control to not be very thorough. To clarify, is it an issue with the video files after you copy them from the SD card directly to a computer?

@@StephensThoughts Good question. Yes.

That's an interesting failure. My guess is it's a combination of a poor connection with the SD card in the camera plus poor failure handling in the firmware for such unreliability.

@@StephensThoughts I'm thinking of the Sony A6000 due to the small budget I have to work with.

The a6000 looks like a great option, with some things you should keep in mind: 1. It's a photo-first camera with limited video features, so a great option for primarily photo use. Video from a phone may end up being better quality. 2. The new price on Amazon is rather high at the moment - best to buy somewhere else, maybe used 3. Lenses for Sony E mount include designs for full-frame and APS-C. Both will be compatible but the full-frame ones will be more expensive (and perhaps higher quality as well)

It would certainly be cathartic to destroy it. 😂 Though I think it would be even cheaper to get a used, broken/for parts camera and use that as the prop.

@@StephensThoughts Finding one might be harder, atleast in Norway. Destroying cameras doesn't seem to be a thing here. But seen a overpriced dirty scratched up camera marked as mint. 😁The cheapest cameras I see are old pocket cameras.

@@mr.miggle9183 what's your budget? What are you requirements. If small camera, look up pocket camera. If you way high resolution and great low light performance go for full frame. Sony A7iv is the most popular choice. If you need 4k 60fps video that's the camera to get. Don't go for a6700 if you want a small camera, it's Aps-C but it's as thich and tall as a7iv apart from the view finder. I got my a7iv used for about the same price as the 6700 costs. And it doesn't have a joystick. But great camera otherwise. But if you want a small Aps-C camera, the older 6000 series cameras ar more suitable, they are smaller. If you want Sony pocket camera RX100 VII is nice, it's tiny, great images, but can't swap lenses. It surely a pocket camera, it has a zoom lens, but it's really compact. But there are ither brands too. But not as easy to find used on the Norwegian market. A6000 is Aps-C quite small and thin not as small as rx series. If you want cheap, old Samsung pocket cameras might be the thing, tiny but can swap between several lenses. I know Panasonic has some small but bigger cameras in Lumix series. Similar to Sony a6000 series, not just how it compares, but maybe it's between, but can fit some pockets of its a pocket.

@@mr.miggle9183 There's no such thing as a beginner camera. There's cameras for different needs, different sizes, different formats. Avoid DSLR cameras, they have a mirror inside making them thicker, and you see the real world through the view finder, not what the camera capture, you won't see wha typu see on the screen, so can't see you changing focus point, or see the stuff shown on the screen. It's harder to use a DSLR. Some confuse DSLR with a professional camera or a proper camera, but the truth is it's outdated tech. DSLR cameras are no longer made by any of the known brands. But that doesn't mean a DSLR won't take great pictures. But hwh make it harder than it needs to be? Basically the view finder is useless for color temperature, shutter speed. You need to use the screen for that, the view finder can only be used to compose the shot. Also lens mounts can be different to newer cameras. But you might find some cheap DSLR cameras and lenses and it will be much better than a smartphone. But cheapest ones will be low budget cameras, which won't have as good video performance won't do more than 1080p 30fps in 30 mins or less. You might find DSLR cameras this cost a fortune for cheap too, those will be better of course. Many types, like pocket cameras, which. have bigger sensor than a smart phone, but old ones have tiny sensor, Apsc or micro four thirds, sensor is much bigger than a smartphone sensor, but mich smaller than full frame, full frame, and expensive high resolution full frame cameras, and then there is that but with even faster fps better tech and insane prices. Like Sony A9ii. Then there are cameras with built in lens, even full frame, don't go for that. Cus if you want a longer focal length or a macro lens later you need a different camera. So pointless to buy it.

From the factory only EX-L and Touring have wireless support. (Others should have normal Bluetooth available.) Earlier this year there was an upgrade available to unlock that functionality in other models that required service at the dealer. Did you get that upgrade installed?

Weird... After a reboot mine is good for 2-4 weeks before it gets noticeable again. Guess there's something else going on with your CarPlay issue.

I'm afraid I don't have an installer for it and I don't see it on Origin's website. However, I bet you can get it if you reach out to Origin support.

Yep, for a while the configurator was still up with a heavy discount but looks like it's gone now too. I'm not sure what you mean by an everyday use case. Is there something particular you were wondering about the laptop?

@@StephensThoughts you know, stuff like.. Here's what the speaker sounds like, Here's how long the battery lasted with light usage or heavy UHD video playback, Here's how the display looked like when playing UHD video or gaming content. Hehehe The kinds of stuff D2D would tell us about laptops. 🙏😁

The speakers don't sound particularly good, my iPad 9th Gen has a significantly deeper sound. But I don't really have other laptops to test against. Battery life is about 4-4.5 hours with Wi-Fi (see pinned comment).

I don't think you can go wrong with either. I've found the similar ATH-M50x to be too small for my ears but rtings.com finds them more comfortable.

Origin's claims are very optimistic. Like, sitting on the Windows desktop at minimum brightness I can't get half that. It's got its strengths, but battery life is not among them. 😬

I've been looking into other laptops like the Microsoft surface laptop studio or studio 2 and the Acer swift X14 but lately, Apple has been slowly but substantially developing more games via crossover and other means of software to achieve better performance and playability.

Good question. I can't find such a model unfortunately. But you might be able to get close with a gaming model. My G604, for example, can operate over the included wireless adapter or Bluetooth and has a mode switch on top for that. However, that model in particular has regular batteries and only remembers one Bluetooth device.

Not 180, but it does go pretty far back, probably in the 140-160 degree range. A little further back than a ~2015 Retina MacBook Pro
