ABC Saturday Night Movie (with Elvis 10 second BUMPER).mpg
มุมมอง 10K14 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the ABC Saturday Night Movie intro and bumper that was used from 1975-1981. At the end there is a :10 second bumper for which I read a promo for the movie "Elvis" starring Kurt Russell. Since the Saturday Night Movie Bumpers had no voiceover for some reason, I was able to dub my own voice onto these intro/bumper spots. Please feel free to share your opinions regarding my voiceover! :)

The ABC SUNDAY NIGHT MOVIE BUMPER THAT WAS USED FROM 1977-1981
This pretty much describes the last three and half years.
I don't know why they don't do tv movies anymore. They were better than the ones in the cinemas. I loved seeing all the different tv stars in the different roles. Now all we have is reality crap like Dancing with the Stars and The Voice.
This guy makes me think of Kamala Harris. Good thing I prefer politicians who try to avoid controversy rather than take strong positions for the sake of dividing and consolidating a base.
Have always loved this scene. Must be a favorite scene for a current candidate raised in a middle class family. She opens her mouth and i see her in this clip.
Hannity is Dom Deluise
High school, girl friends, real dates, gone forever! Good times are only good when you had them!
I wish our politicians were more entertaining while they are dodging questions. At least we could enjoy that!
Unfortunately this song reminds me of current politicians. F. Caruso in Arizona
Amazing how a few bars of music can transport you back to a different time and place. It didn’t matter what crappy third rate movie they were showing. This intro made it sound like it was something special.
Kamala is patterning her campaign after this.😂🎉
This is played by the DNC for Kamala Harris on continuous repeat.
God if he was still alive, I would definitely vote for him a POTUS
Everytime Governor Abbott does one of his grandstanding moves, this song comes to mind. Politicians aside, this was one of the best numbers in the film.
Quiet! I'm trying to do my homework and trying to think up an illness so I can miss school tomorrow! It's 1977 all over again!
thnx for posting. so many great memories of what it was like in our family. no cursing, no alcohol or drugs. couldn’t understand why ppl longed for the past, but posts like this are priceless
I remember as kid that I would wait for these movies to come on.
Please abc bring back Sunday movie
The tv premier of THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE for me.. such great memories.
Burt Reynolds said, that son of a bitch is in the movie for 5 minutes, and he’s going to get an Oscar nomination.
ABC Sunday Night movies were usually really good back in the pre-cable TV days. Our whole family would watch them together.
The Republican party to the tee. No policies, can’t govern, protect their own rich buddies and interests, turn a blind eye to prostitution because they are the worst offenders, and they say and do absolutely NOTHING.
😊 great memories
One of favorite songs in this movie
Oneof my Favorite scenes of any movie..he was fun to watch...RIP
"I hear him talking but he don't come in" remind you of anyone we know? That and having a politician respect or love our countries flag would have him hunted down and tried now days.
🎉
I wouldn't trade being a kid in the 70s for anything!!!!! The television and the music were the best!!!!
Fun seeing Dom DeLouise in there too
If this doesn’t bring back memories of the late 70s nothing will
Imagine Family Guy, Francis doing this song and dance in a parody scene.
The stars gave the intro style just like the stars on the wrestlers pro wrestling boots gave them great style back in the day
Im watching this at night in a dark room and it really brings out the memories of watching a late night movie
My Dad loved this song. My Dad could sing and he would sing this song and do the dance. I miss my Dad 😢
This intro music gives me a Love Boat vibe, and also the kind of music that would be fodder for the Simpsons. That said, I love it.
Before he was Governor of Mississippi he was Governor of Texas 😊
This was funny back in the day but scarey real today. That said, it’s still funny to remember the movie.
You could hear this filtering through all the open doors and windows on my neighborhood street in the summer.
I remember the trumpets
Back when the ABC TV channel used to be owned by Paramount Studios (the same Mountain Peak company that made SpongeBob SquarePants, Top Gun, and Rosemary's Baby), before its rights were bought to the Disney company in the 1990s (the same Mickey Mouse company that also made DuckTales and the Haunted Mansion, and bought the rights to Winnie the Pooh until 2021).
Every time there’s trouble in the Middle East, I can’t help but think of Charles Durning. Such a classic performance, stole the show. It’s worth watching the whole movie just to see him.
When there were 3 channels and that was exciting enough.
No better secondary man in any film he was in than Charles Durning. Loved him in everything!
1974-1979?
This is the second movie I've ever seen him in ( the first is Oh brother where art thou) and it absolutely great
That was prior to 1977. It started about 1974 on up.
😂😂😂😂FANTASTIC , NOW MRS MONA POOR BABY 😂😂😂😂
Great memories
I love his little dance moves.
Durning. Legend.
*Intro* I'm soooooo excited *Tonight's movie...Oh, Heavenly Dog* Oh. oh
