Neil Frances - Music Sounds Better With You (Marcellus' Dusty Stars Extension)
In 2017, Neil Frances did a brilliant cover version of Stardust's 1998 classic "Music Sounds Better With You" (sampling Chaka Khan's 'Fate' out of 1981). Unlike Stardust's 1998 original, the cover never got a proper DJ friendly extension - so here's my 'Dusty Stars' extension of Neil Frances' gorgeous "Music Sounds Better With You' - which should help to 'fill that gap' & 'scratch that itch' - "I feel so good"...

Holy shit, I just came across this gem by accident. Crazy updated version of a classic from Paul Hardcastle. It has that same eerie feeling that the original did back in the 80s

@@AlanTaylorCRSmusicproduction You don't need stems. I didn't use stems to create my remix. Here's how I did it: I first created my own true instrumental of Hardcastle's 19 (you can find my work on this at: th-cam.com/video/VA2wwMBiDmg/w-d-xo.html), and then I re-sampled spoken word from the Vietnam Requiem documentary (just as Hardcastle did) and over-laid those onto the instrumental backing track. I then sampled additional spoken word of Peter Thomas' narration from Forensic Files videos and used those to artificially 'create' the word "COVID" in Peter Thomas' voice (Peter Thomas died in 2016 - well before anyone had ever uttered the word "COVID". I then scoured news footage & press-conferences, etc, to sample snippets that would coherently convey the 'CoViD War' message in the track without being offensive or disrespectful to anyone. Finally, I searched for samples to overlay to give the track the feel that I wanted (without messing with Hardcastle's brilliant musicianship). So, would love to hear a remix from you - feel free to use my instrumental as the backing track (th-cam.com/video/VA2wwMBiDmg/w-d-xo.html) - it's a big chunk of the work already done for you.
