Dan Lee (1930~2015) is a 1948 light weight boxing champion in China, but he never told Bruce Lee about that

Bullshite
Bruce lee was legally blind and had a serious back injury so bad he could barely walk yet heres this no name self promoter saying he was a great fighter?
Get a life
@alexchen5811 you're here too so maybe take your own advice

Bruce Lee taught Chuck how to question. Ergo: Bruce taught Chuck how to THINK.
Bruce Lee must have also seen Zatoichi, the blind swordsman honoring his opponent after he just defeated and killed during their encounter. Of which where Bruce Lee covered Chuck Norris with his Gi and belt after defeating Norris as respect to a fallen warrior in the Way of the Dragon.
Jim Kelly looks like he's still in character in Enter The Dragon.
I have the ultimate respect for Jim Kelly, especially because he didn't reveal the names of those who Bruce sparred with and most probably showed them up. Bruce was a street fighter in Hong Kong and almost killed a guy connected to the Triads. The real deal. Bare knuckle in Hong Kong!
awesome commentary John, didnt know you were so involved in this production , a lot of things i didnt know ,you brought out. really great to know these details.
great video. underviewed
Wat year did John little do this
I think he’s referring to chuck norris . Rumours for decades they secretly sparred behind closed doors
That’s why it’s always good to listen to guys who actually met Bruce and witnessed what he did, first hand.
Jim Kelly did have a scene along with Bruce Lee. Early in the film on the boat together. Grasshopper fighting scene
This movie is the real story of his life ever done on Bruce Lee then any other movie ever done on Bruce Lee you get to see things in this movie that was never been seen before but in a book and a documentary that this movie has it the beginning of life and his parents and his brothers and sisters and his life has a baby being born and being taken back to Hong Kong to grow up to his 18th birthday and left Hong Kong to go live in the United States that the movie gos back before that happens in his life that know other movie has never been done before this movie was made and since then is still the only movie to be done this way that is missing from the other movies that have been done just what you have been looking for and it is on dvd
This is tremendous
Man I literally get goosebumps the way Jim said how Bruce Lee was untouchable. 1:44 The expression and look in his eyes. 💯💪🏽
Anybody know what book Grandmaster Kelly is referencing here? I can't find any info on it.
马龙展示了如何碾压阿鲁纳的战术,盯住阿鲁纳德反手,用高吊弧圈球让阿鲁纳无法借力
This is coming from someone who just knew him only during filming Enter the dragon and not really as close like Dan Inosanto...but he knew he saw a legend right in front of him. I could be wrong but I really admire how honest and appreciative he is to the man.
Not to take anything away from Bruce Lee's greatness, but Bruce Lee never competed. Jim Kelly, Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Van Damme, etc. these guys did compete and won prestigious tournaments. And weight definitely plays a major role. This is why the UFC changed from no weight classes to weight classes. I would have loved to have seen Mike Tyson in his prime vs. Bruce Lee in his prime. I doubt Bruce would have any chance at beating Tyson merely b/c of the weight difference. I believe Bruce did introduce the first philosophy of mixed martial arts with Jeet Kune Do not having one specific martial arts style, but adapting every style based on your opponent. Writing your teachings vs. proving them in competitive tournaments is a different thing, in my humble opinion. Thank you.
Lmao they were his students. Bruce was levels above and whooped all the people you mentioned. He had many street fights also. Bruce would try to gouge peoples eyes out. He hated point stop fighting.
I loved you in enter the dragon! I was mad as fuck when your character got killed! And how!
Such a gem, thank you so much for uploading and sharing!!!
Master of Adjusting. Like Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Incrível! Entrevista, Gostei! Mais um inscrito!!!
Love Jim Kelly , the black community really missed out on their own Sylvester Stallone type action movie here .. he had it all , great martial artists , good looking and articulate..
Tell us what were your thoughts and feelings/impressions when you firsr saw his movies ?
Ryusei Imai should be, "Bruce Lee II"
We love you Jim Kelly we're so sad you had to go, but you will always be remembered like Bruce Lee your one true martial artist not just because of your skill but your honor, respect, and the heart of the martial arts 🥋 .
And his around to tell it lol
World champion fighters are literally on video saying that they couldn’t touch Bruce Lee in a fight and some of you still doubt his fighting ability just because he made some movies towards the end of his life LOL. The man studied fighting longer than he ever did film-making. It’s like saying that Michael Jordan wasn’t a real basketball player just because he took part in the movie “Space Jam”. You idiots have a better chance of beating Michael Jordan 1 on 1 than you do beating Bruce Lee in a fight. Sit down and stop making yourselves look stupid.
Shut up and try getting out of your room for a bit. Bruce Lee was a very small man. Years of anime and video games might have you believing that those things don't matter, but I have a reality check for you; they do. Bruce Lee was only human. The are limits to what humans can do, no matter how much you train.
@@jaimealvarado4421 Literally none of what you said relates to anything that i said. I was addressing the false belief that Bruce Lee can’t fight just because he became an actor later on in his life. He trained with world champions and they said that they couldn’t touch him, period. If that isn’t enough for you then you’re even more lost than i had originally thought lol.
@@Aquatic89 Real talk, people who think he was only an actor probably saw one or two of his films and jump into conclusions that he wasn’t a real martial artist. Bruce was the real deal.
I feel one of the most underrated great fighters is Paul Varleans. Paul fought in a time when there were no gloves and you had to go all out. Fought in a time where you had to fight 6 top fighters in the same night. If only he had a good striking elite level coach. Trash talkers and garbage bs experts can say whatever but they won't step in the octagon and fight. When fighting doesn't become scientific and becomes more about social media and psychological warfare you can't respect it anymore. Then it becomes unstructured. And full of shit. Most fighters these days are only it for the money.
He was beyond Michal Jordan according to the Great Jim Kelly! It says it all!
Thank you Jim Kelly......people like to Say Bruce Lee was just a good art martial actor!!!
And on the opposite end of the spectrum, people like to say that Bruce Lee can defeat any man who has ever lived in the history of all fighting. Both are fucking idiots.
Two Ooyyy,Ooyyy for Jim Kelly and Bruce Lee.
Brucelee 😎
I wish I could have asked him about the fights Bruce had on the set.
man i just really wish he was more specific here theres so many comparisons i would of asked him like look at all the great fighters in the ufc i would asked more about how do you think he would do today in competing in the ufc is he good enough to fight champions in the heavy weight divisions is his striking as good as anderson silva or can he actually take a hit
Bruce Lee was 130lbs. No he couldn't compete with heavyweights. Especially not wrestlers.
Kareem abdul jabar’s first encounters with bruce is worth hearing too. Especially when he said bruce had his wife demonstrate a kick for Kareem and almost knocked kareem over. A big guy like him
Bruce Lee was unbelievable! And Kelly was very great.
I'm sure Chuck Norris' name is amongst those names as well 😉😄
John Doe the great champion was definitely Joe Lewis lmao
Quentin Tarantino should watch this instead of talking out of his ass.
Exactly.
Untouchable - Bruce Lee The legend The Best Ever -- Google it !! He is Bruce Lee The Legend The Best Ever 2021.
The best at what though?
@@jaimealvarado4421 Do you know Bruce Lee , that's like asking who was Muhammad Ali ?What was he the best - Answer The Best Boxer of all time and a Great Humanitarian . Even with all the nonbelievers out there, Bruce Lee continues to be seen by the masses as the greatest martial artist of all time. He was referred to by Dana White as a “world-wide fighting icon” not only because of martial arts but because of his philosophies, movies, teaching ability, and more.. He is also known as the father of MMA and founder of Jeet Kune Do . Have a good day .
Wow
Bruce Lee's best students/fighters of the L.A./Chinatown period were Bob Bremer and Dan Lee. The Chinatown school was the only martial arts school in the United States that sparred with full contact gear and the sparring matches between Bremer and Lee were legendary. It's interesting to note that Bruce Lee introduced full contact sparring gear at the 1967 Long Beach Internationals. There is complete YT footage of Lee's sparring demonstration at the 67 Internationals and 1 of his 2 sparring opponents was Dan Inosanto.
wow. those choice of words! respect!!!
Ok here's a thought. Jim wd not disclose those masters who got beaten by Bruce. -Those masters were the ones who worked, trained, learned...from Bruce. But it stops here. No names out of respect to "those masters"...as per Jim Kelly😄😘😍
I believe everything said about Bruce Lee
Would you rather listen to keyboard warriors who say Bruce Lee was just an actor, or Jim Kelly, a 5th degree black belt, who personally trained and sparred with him?
The truth lies somewhere in the middle. He was definitely more than an actor, but neither, as many claim, could he beat anybody and everybody. And people do claim that, don't say they don't.
