Installing a MK4 Supra Radiator in a Lexus SC300
มุมมอง 1652 หลายเดือนก่อน
Important note 2: doing as I have done will result in a dysfunctional A/C because there isn’t enough direct pull to chill the A/C radiator. make sure you get a fan shroud or low profile solution that will work. I’m personally getting the mishimoto low-profile fans and i still may have to modify the battery platform with how thick the new radiator core is. correction 1: I say that there are no a...
MANUAL 1992 Lexus SC300 POV Ownership Impressions
มุมมอง 9456 หลายเดือนก่อน
I primarily made this video as supplementary information for SC300 shoppers. check out That Dude in Blue's review on the SC300 as well as it's also pretty informative th-cam.com/video/arvAt4rOxWQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=iT1tvjYvezBC8o2P
My radiator just gave out in my 93 SC400 so now I'm here lol. Was planning on doing a Supra aluminum with electric fans.
lol nice. just do your research. this was the performance 2-row radiator. even with the new fans im about to drop in, battery clearance is an issue. i’ll probably be able to make do by just cutting the platform the battery sits on and maybe some excess plastic on the fan itself but a relocation would just suck for something so simple. look into some brands with thinner cores if that’s a thing
no more jokes about subarus pal
you cool with civics? lol
@@RandomCarGuy4 sounds good to me
Wait this is just. 8 and some minutes of you waffling
incredibly riveting content isn’t it?
I have a 1998 LS400. I honesty want to get another just so I can have one to modify, VIP style and another one to keep as stock and as in perfect museum quality as possible.
honestly i’ve thought about that route as well. the problem is i’m broke XD
lowkey love this type of content. i hope you get the type of views you deserve man, keep it up
Be careful man these things just spin out really bad, replace your tires earlier than normal.
brand new tires. i’m sliding it to get the feel of it and it’s really controllable so far
nice vid
thanks bro
The master looks to be leaking. .
topped it off. We'll see what happens!
different colored shoes has me wondering brother...
nahhhh I don't drive a jetta
@@RandomCarGuy4 funny dude, though low fluid means it went somewhere.. evaporative loss, leak or cylinder. I'd drain and refill and it will be right as rain
Loss after that means it's burning it off, not good, or it leaking less of a problem. Or it is low because it never was looked at and never changed. Change it anyways.
Also the smear on your mats says it blew a line... If not now before. Aka you ride the clutch way too much. Use the gears to slow you not clutch and brake... Who taught you to drive a manual.
@@Lemonhead8890 lol I'm self taught + TH-cam videos of pedals but I never ride the clutch. that's the one thing I try really hard not to do. I rev match coming up to stuff a lot of the time. I'll always drop it into neutral asap. I'm very conscious of how much I'm using the clutch. I got the gauge cluster fixed recently and its made it a LOT easier to rev match. I suspect that it was never addressed. I'm the second owner and the last owner looked like if Stan Lee somehow kept aging. A lot of ownership so far has been making sure everything actually runs good because as the last owner and his wife got older, they drove it less. making this thing essentially a good condition barn find. edit: I literally just went out to check the fluid and it hasn't moved since I filled it like 2 or 3 days ago. It could have evaporated or some other freak thing. (or when it blew last time it was never filled idk. or its a VERY slow leak)
You got a leek somewhare
Leek and potato soup
no vegetables were found in the engine bay :(
Are you going to push out more SC300 content?
i know that i’m 100% gonna document when i turbo the car and go super in depth on everything. I truthfully don’t really know what else to make a video about but i’m all ears if you have any ideas. i could continue my pov ownership experience if that’s interesting: i have got some more thoughts developing. and as im sitting here writing i did get the gauge cluster rebuilt by tanin auto so i could do that.
@@RandomCarGuy4 I don't know, maybe how-to videos? I own a factory SC300 as well, although it's a 1993. I've never enjoyed driving it after putting in some upgrades. It's currently dead in the waters now, hopefully a dead battery. I may want to film the process just to document the process.
I really like the way you took your time to show every thing about this car. I is also helpful you have knowledge about this and other cars. Good job!
Really nice video. Camera angle is good, and you speak clearly as well. Keep it up mate!
thanks bro! I think that the camera angle could have been a touch lower but I’m happy with how it turned out for a one-shot random video
