    Excellent video! Thanks for doing this video on this bike because I did not know that it existed. And I like to know what is out even if I am not interested in the bike, I just like to know. Would you consider test riding the bike? And for the price did it seem like it had quality components? Thanks

      Unfortunately I’m accustom to loads of torque, so it would be hard for me to choose any bike that didn’t have 100 or more lbs ft of torque. With that said, I feel it was an excellent bike for the price. I would like to test ride it. Perhaps I can make that happen in the future.

    I have no issues purchasing from ridenow, as if you done your homework, you can see through bs surcharges and ask them to remove it if they try to do any funny business. However I would not trust their service department. Heard bad things about them joyriding and crashing people’s bikes, and them claiming gaslighting they fixed a bike when its clear they did not. Harder to cockblock the backend service department. Go to milestone or some other trustworthy mechanics

    Excellent interview! I am glad that you did an extensive interview with the RS owner. I am surprised that he said that he liked the bike but when asked about whether keeping it he seemed ambivalent and like he did not get the bike that he wanted. Also, he is thinking about going back to the stock position with the handlebars. The 2024 RS is similar to the previous Rs's but with the SOS system correct? I wonder what will they do with the 2025 RS? I was surprised to hear you would consider the 1300 GS so I will stay tuned to see what you do. I recall you did a video on the cylinder guards and you opted for a non BMW guard, do you still feel good about that decision? The white RS looked good and I have seen one in person before but I like the black one like the one you have. BTW how warm was it in Texas that night and did you enjoy the burger? I have never had a burger their either. Final note, do you think that you would consider bar risers like he had on his bike? Also, I wonder if he would have selected the tubular bars. Thanks great job!

    • @Texas2Tires
      @Texas2Tires 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I believe he is just keeping his options open. I have a few friends that enjoy changing their bikes every 6-12 months. As for the bar risers, I think like me he likes the sporty look of the RS and would rather have the bars in their stock position, but comfort is a factor. I did not say I would consider the 1300 GS. I would never buy a GS. I don't plan on going off road and I don't care for the looks of it. What I am considering is the 1300 RS and the new ASA clutchless system. I've received quite a bit of feed back from friends overseas on how amazing the ASA is. I love the styling of my engine guards very happy I went with those. It was around 90 degrees, the burger was good and no bar risers for me. Thanks for watching!

    Nice feedback from a new owner. The MachineArt X heads will protect his cylinder heads, they look way better than engine bars and if you do drop your bike you can buy just the side you need and they cost less than the engine bars. What's not to like? Dynamic pro just allows you to set the 3 aspects of the ride mode to what you want, it's not Dynamic mode on steroids. So you can set the Throttle, DCT and ABS to suit your style rather than have to accept the stock setting in Rain, Road or Dynamic👍it's a pick an mix selection if that makes sense and in it's stock setting Dynamic Pro is exactly the same as Dynamic.

Also my blaze saddle bags were only on for a trip I had out to the twisted sisters. The plan was to remove them when I got home, but they’re so convenient and they look great I ended up leaving them on. Now I can pick stuff up at the store or bring things with me like all my camera gear.

      Hp is somewhere between 105 and 115 depending on what source you use. Yamaha‘s website doesn’t seem to show horsepower or torque numbers. He has the BMW Garmin. I like almost all bikes. However that doesn’t mean I’d buy them all. Personally I wouldn’t buy either bike. But I do like the styling of the Yamaha.

    I was going to go for the Mandello S, but at the last minute bought the new R12 ninet🤣. It lacks the protection but is more flickable and more torquey on back roads. I loved my demo of the Mandello and is definitely the best bike I've ridden on motorways, better than my old GS1250 in terms of feeling and fun factor.

    When you suggest more horsepower you fail to acknowledge that for driving on American highways, even you exceed speed limit a bit, you have all the HP you need.

      I’m a proponent of more torque. In my opinion torque is more important and more fun than high hp when it comes to real world street riding.

    I just recently purchased a 2024 R 1250 RS. I am located in Round Rock, so maybe we can meet up sometime. I just finished my 624 break in service and I was, how do I say, hoping for more. Why does it feel like the engine is going to explode at 6K when the bike redlines way higher. Thinking the exhaust and Bren tune would make me allot happier. I haven’t done many mods other that removing satnav cradle and luggage frame, and installing Helibar risers.

    II bought a 2022 R1250RS from a dealer back in April. I didn't realize at the time I bought it, but my RS has the full Akrapovic headers and can ( cat delete). I'm not getting any warning lights and it seems to be running great. The thing is, I don't know if it has been tuned or not. Is there any way I can tell if a tune or re-mapping has been done? Thanks!

    • @Texas2Tires
      @Texas2Tires หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for checking out the channel and posting your question. If it does have a tune and you bring it in for service if they hook up the computer to the bike it will override the tune and a erase it most likely especially if there is an update to the TFT. The dealer really should know if there is a tune or not when they bought the bike as a trade-in. All the signs that my bike has a tune are easy for me to understand because I have something to compare it to. For you that would be difficult. When I crack the throttle the exhaust valve pops open and the bike lurches forward. This didn’t happened before the tune. The BMW mechanic told me that happens because you have a tune.

    • @Texas2Tires
      @Texas2Tires หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes they touch the paint. However SW Motech provides clear stickers to place on the bike so that the bags don’t damage the paint. I think I showed this during the installation video. th-cam.com/video/2t283Kx9Bnw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1iT5RznVYegq8ogy

      Thanks for watching the video. Motorangutan didn’t sell motorcycles just parts and gear. Not sure why they closed guessing competition from the bigger retailers. That older Ducati was cool. I wanted to talk to the owner but he slipped away before I could find him. However it seems to be a Ducati Sport Classic 1000 SE which were made between 2006-2009. I could be wrong, but looks pretty much the same.

    Wouldn't the Carbon helmet be lighter weight than the regular C5? I just got my wife a new C5 in blue color. It's beautiful and she loves the comfort. I'm thinking I may get one now as well and trying to decide if the $1499 price tag is worth the price over the $759 for the regular C5. Also, I think for the C5 in size LG and XL, they give additional padding to custom fit the shape of your head. I'm an XL so that'll be helpful for me.. as I have a big round head lol.

    Hi friend! Those are inner liners for the SW Motech bags (if they are the Blaze). Absolutely waterproof sensitive electronics when im touring. I too am am big fan of the Michelin, I replaced my first set at 20,000km...insane! With only minor cupping! I guess we are super smooth with our on road, track moments 😅

    • @Texas2Tires
      @Texas2Tires หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for stopping by friend 😊I rarely get caught in the rain as I ride mostly within a three hour radius of my home and don't head out on days that look crappy. Yesterday was blue skies and all clear on the weather apps. Oh well. I'm very happy with my SW Motech bags and my Sargent seat and rear pod. All solid investments for the RS. Like I said in the video, I've talked to some people claiming they got only 5,000 miles out of their Road 6. I'm thinking they either really like having new tires all the time or they ride the Fug out of them doing burnouts, extreme braking and ride on rough roads. Also probably don't keep the tire pressure consistent. I check my tire pressure each time I ride and keep them 34-36 front 40-42 rear. I just checked my receipts to get the accurate number of miles my tires have lasted. My first set of tires were the Metzlers that came with the bike. They were changed out at 12,704 miles (20,439km). However those Metzlers were in really rough shape when I changed them to my first set of Road 6 especially the front it had really bad cupping. My first set of Road 6 lasted 15,383 miles (24,757km). Again not in great shape when I changed them. The rear was squared off and the center line of the tire material was starting to show through. I should have changed them around the 12,000 mile (19,312km) mark. The front tire was in pretty good shape, no cupping. Regardless of how long somebodies' tires last, I wish everyone enjoyable fun filled safe days on two tires!
