the only time I related to Quinn more than to Daria. It's so natural to feel like that at her age though.

In the end, was it worth it?

This is the most niche, but intriguing, side story of Daria. I know the show by heart and didn't make all these connections. Also what a harlot :P she accompaines herself to so many different males.

Daria complains, insults others, and criticizes them unjustly. She moans that no one understands her and yet she makes absolutely no effort to truly understand them and the struggles they may be facing. She thinks others reject her when, in reality, she's the one doing the rejecting and purposely keeps others at arms-length.

It really shows a new perspective on Daria’s jab at Quinn in another episode that vaguely goes “your shallowness is so thorough it’s almost depth” and Quinn responds with “thanks!”

OMG I thought only I noticed him. One of my favorite things in like episode 2 or 3 that I noticed is how only his fingers poke out of his sweatshirt 😭

The fact that the show ends with Quinn correctly answering the same question Daria answers in the first episode shows how much thought they put into her character. I grew up relating to Daria, but i like Quinn's character more now as an adult.

In "The Daria Database", it implies that he married Sandi's mom for her looks and regrets it. If I can find the book, I'll come back and put the quote here.

When I was younger I was like Daria, cynical and judgemental I would scoff at girls like Quinn. Then I've learned to appreciate everyone's talents and beauty, when I've come to realize the amount of work that goes into nails, hair, makeup, dresses which I was never good at myself. It's just as much a form of expression as any other art. I used to think such girls are shallow but they really do work hard in a way I could never, and as I got older I saw all the difficulties most teenage girls struggle with daily. And just because a girl is presentable or likes to party doesn't mean they lack brains. For this I had to realize I am not better than anyone and that most people are mediocre in everyday life anyway and we should all strive to use what we've been given. You never know where these talents could take you, if you are passionate about beauty or entertaining or sociable you can be successful in many ways. The most important is to find what you do best and live a fulfilling life. We need people like Quinn who are good at fashion, gossip, feminine beauty just as we need our intellectuals and artists.

Daria thinks she's so smart but if she's so smart why is she so autistic? She should be smart enough to realise she has autism and do something about it, it's not normal to act the way she does she's not better than Quinn or anyone else at least those girls are happy.
