Una de las arias más conmovedoras en la ópera. Tesitura relativamente simple pero saber interpretarla es extremadamente difícil, son muy pocos los que logran dar la intensidad requerida para el complejo personaje. Kraus fue uno de ellos, después hay que retroceder bastante en el tiempo.
