I typically will keep it simple and buy some Puts on the stock

@@RainKingLLC do you buy put before earnings or there're other times you would do that?

@@James-ez2zf I would typically try to buy the put on a rally 1-2 weeks before the ERx date (Put premium would be lower) on the rally....and then I find a strike at the money or close to it, with expiration 1-3 weeks after the ER date.

IMO, and not investmt advice, elf has been played out alreadt...it was a real leader during 2022 and 2023. Now, the late stage base are deep and show distribution....even the Earning reaction had two day showing some stalling.

I have had my eye on this one. Its is the right space Organizing Databases in and A.I. world. Chart right now is getting resistance at the High Volume Close at 32.57 from Feb 8. .....If that level can be cleared, I would be looking for early entries inside the base.

@@James-ez2zf yes, it currently is not the big leader ( winning horse) but the chart is looking better and it might come alive.

A Distrib. Day is when the index is down .2% or more on an increase in vol from the day before. An Accumulation day (or Subsequent Follow Thru Day) is when the index is + 1.2% or more on an increase in vol from day before

Definitely.....RKi was putting exposure with pilot positions April 26 and then we were getting traction last week when exposure range was raised 25-40%. This week was a very positive feedback from the market after PPI and CPI reports AND pilot positions were working well. We listen to the market and exposure levels were raised to 65-80%. You have been there at the market turns ...... 'under exposure' is as big an investing mistake as being 'over exposed'....we will be discussing all this at the future Rain King Insights memberships. And to be fair with your comment, you took the " low end" last week of 20% and then took the "high end" this week of 80%. All good.....Trade well!

Definitely a factor to consider......even with Earnings Gaps, usually we still get a pause of some sort that tests the HVC or a slight undercut. My study of ERx Gaps shows the best only undercut HVC 2-4%.
