Fantastic video and I did enjoy it. I am putting together a video on salvia cuttings and wanted to make sure I got it right! thanks for the insight it was spot on ;-) Good artists copy and great artists steal lol.
Thanks for your comment and you are welcome. Good luck with the cuttings but you shouldn’t need it. They are very easy to do with an almost 100% success rate
Big like 6 sooo beautiful plant collection nice sharing
Thanks for your comment and like
That Colacasia is amazing! I have one also, which has had its first summer and will be coming in this winter.
Thank you for commenting, yes it’s best to protect them from the winter
@@OurEnglishTropicalGarden its twice as big as the last time I commented!
Was that braided? And if so, did you un braid it because that's not healthy for the plant? I'm wondering if I should braid mine
No it was not braided when we bought it and that was how we wanted it at the time
Nice.
Thank you
Are you cutting them ALL!!?? Some of mine are brown about 6 in down from top...
In this video all the old fronds were removed allowing the fresh new ones to grow
Awesome grounds. You're quite gifted w/ plant skills.
Thank you for your comment
Thank you for sharing ❤
Many thanks
The prove is in the pudding, shady spot did the job
Thank you, yes it seems to have worked but interestingly they are not grown in the shade in the wild.
looks great
Thank you
Beautiful fern plant 🌱
Many thanks, the challenge is overwintering it.
Sò nice tips share about fern palm plant
Many thanks for commenting
Wonderful, thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you, I’m pleased you enjoyed it.
Lovely time of the year. Well done.
Thank you, yes it’s a much better time of the year but it’s not the greatest start to the summer weather wise. I think we are all still waiting
Beautiful 😍😍 lk
Thank you, it’s not without its challenges. That’s given me an idea, perhaps I should share them
I have tons in my yard ,,,I am in orlando 😂❤❤❤❤
Yes, I can imagine you have. I have seen it on tv and find it amazing but it’s a novelty here.
Awesome.
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice and simple thanks 👍🏼
You’re welcome 😊
Thanks so much. I have a money tree that needs repotting and I did not know where to start. I am going to attempt to follow your instructions. Have an amazing day!
Thanks for your comment and I hope it helped
Fantastic Thank you ❤
Thank you. 😊 My three are looking the same, I almost thought that they were dying off. I bought some seeds back from Tenerife back in 1986 and in the summer of 87 my dad grew a monster from one of those seeds. It grew to about 7ft in the first year and was covered in flowers. Sadly it didn't survive the winter. From everything that I've read they are not supposed to flower in the first year but this one did.
Thank you for sharing that.
@@OurEnglishTropicalGarden I've put them in 14" larger pots now after watching your video and they are looking so much healthier and happier now out in the garden especially with the warmer weather 😊
Thank you so much for the great content. I really feel better about re-poting my p. Aquatica . I found him in an alley near dead and waterlogged. It took almost a year to get him stable. Its ridiculous how fast he grows. Healthy and strong for sure. Personally i decided not to continue the braiding and just gently use plant wire to keep him somewhat organized.
Well done saving the plant. They are beautiful and good idea about plant wire 👍
What a gorgeous garden! Also love the nesting Robins, its such a treat having birds in the garden 😊
I totally agree!, Thanks for your comment
Beautiful garden view nice video 😊
Thank you so much
Do you think us in the north east of england could grow these? i got given 5 seeds, all depends on if they germinate or not too haha
If they germinate they will grow the first year, the problem is overwintering them.
Thank you for the review. It is a good strimmer. Unfortunately I got only 1 battery and planning to buy one more. Do you know by any chance if Kärcher Battery Power 18/50 can be used instead of Karcher 18v 2.5Ah Battery ? Thank you.
I am afraid I don't know. I would search the internet for compatible batteries and see if that brings up any suggestions. I have two batteries aswell as I also use the chain saw and hedge clippers.
How will we explain the meaning of pitcher plant and monkey cup?what is the difference between them?
The tropical pitcher plant also known as the monkey cup. The genus is Nepenthes
It could be a aloe aborecanse or aloe striatula😊 respects
thank you for the information
Beautiful, I had them in my garden but one night the mum just left them and they died within the hour 😢 mr Robin hadn't been bringing her as much food as he did last year. It's wonderful to see yours! 😍 I have videos of them on here and it was so sad to have to post the update that they were gone. I really like your videos, you have a lovely calming voice that's very easy to listen to
That's a shame, the robins in my garden have all fledged. Luckily had a good set of parents. Thank you for your comments
Glad I'm not the only who must keep it a secret when using kitchen utensils for temporary gardening duty!
Your secret is safe here 😀
Your tetrapanax did you just have fleece over it ?
I wrapped the whole stem in fleece all the way to the top. I also put some around the base to protect that a little more in case the stem was lost. I’m still learning with this plant as last year I didn’t wrap at all and thought I’d lost it in a harsh winter. I hope that helps
@@OurEnglishTropicalGarden Definitely thanks, I put 2 different types out and looks like I may of lost them as they were only about a foot high. But no protection as I heard from numerous TH-cam videos that they rot if you wrap them but obviously not.😂 Try your method next time.🤞🙏😂
Looking good :) did you have banana plants in the ground? Did you just cover them in fleece if you did? Check out my garden if you have a chance to give me some tips. If you search for Jurassic gardener :)
Is it just me or should this man do voice overs as a profession?
The garden Soooooooo beautiful 😊 Stay connected
Thank you, it was my husbands vision and I am lucky enough to be the caretaker now
This garden is incredible stunning and Loved! Wow you are having such green hands to have a lush green garden as this in uk!!!
Thank you, it’s taken a lot of work and a long time to get it where it is.
The garden is looking as good as ever!
Thanks Patrick, I’m getting the hang of things a bit more now. Less daunting
Thes plants are so lucky to have you looking after them Sue they are so well cared for!
They are still wrapped up but the bananas are starting to grow so I’ll probably unwrap them in April. Thanks for looking and commenting Patrick
There's always something to do in your garden Sue and the little flowers at the bottom of the tree look gorgeous!
Thanks Patrick, I haven’t been able to get out there much this year we have had so much rain.
Nice sharing nig like
Thank you, it’s so lovely to be able to get back in the garden after the winter months
We have a lot of red ones. Growing wild where im from. I harvested some seeds. I just added some in the ground😅but i will go harvest some more and do it like this
Good luck and please let us know how you get on
January is definitely cold indeed
Into February now and it’s feeling more like Spring is on the way
@OurEnglishTropicalGarden is feeling like spring indeed, but I am trying not to get too excited as UK like late frost surprises 😮
@AAHomeGardening yes I agree. I shan’t remove the fleece yet
Cuttings hanging offshoot from the mother plant It means that when it is cut, it will be a possibility without roots is this normal? Cuttings hanging from the mother plant It means that when it is cut, it will be a possibility without roots is this normal? After planting it, will it start rooting?
All our palms grow from seeds dropped by the more mature plants in the garden. I don’t know if you can take cuttings
And how are you care for the plant ..soil watering etc. I just received one from Napoli by post..and got yellow leaves One month in the box 🙈
It’s probably due to light deprivation. It needs very well drained soil, with grit, water it sparingly. If you are in the UK protect it from them rain, snow and frost. I have mine under cover at the moment and wrapped in fleece.
Thank you👍
Sooo beautiful garden maintain nice video
Thank you, the garden is resting but I will post regular updates
Usinoidies is the name. I live in perth west Australia, and have hundreds of these lovely plants. Started out eith 5 plants, and when they are full and long, i just break them off half way, and tie them off with a thick elastic band, and hook them onto tree branches, hanging baskets, everywhere. Here they stay in the garden all year round. They have tiny little green, yes green flowers in spring and are tough plants. They go well with my collection of tillasandias. They come from the desert in sounth America and are absolutely pests there! They grow everywhere, and are used to stuff cushions, mattresses and as packaging material. I use liquid hydroponic solution every month to keep them growing well. I hope your plants multiply well for you. Cheers.
Thank you, sadly the climate is not good enough in the UK to keep them outside all year. But the conservatory is sufficient in the winter months. Thank you for the growing tips.
Great job, thanks for taking the time to show us!
Thank you, they are doing really well, they’ve all been outside for the summer but brought back into the conservatory now
Great job 😊
Many thanks
so beautiful~ hello If you want to see pretty flowers, come visit us
Thank you
The garden looks great!
Many thanks, growth has stopped for this year. I need to wrap tender plants in fleece in the garden
Sooo beautiful nice video
Thank you, it’s turning colder now so time to fleece the tender outdoor plants
