"Polskie drogi" - Polish television series from 1976. The action of the series takes place during World War II in the years 1939-1943, then presents the everyday life of the German occupation. The plot of the series is focused on two main roles: cadet sergeant Władysław Niwiński and his subordinate corporal, and then collaborator and friend Leon Kuraś. The fates of Polish citizens during the war are included in these two characters. At the same time, a cross-section of society is presented, the attitudes of Poles during the occupation, as well as the views on conduct during the war. The main axis of the plot is the identity of Captain Tadeusz Miszczyk (born 1908), who dies in 1939, and his identity is assumed by Niwiński, which creates complications in connection with the fact that the Germans are looking for cargo transported by the captain at the beginning of the war. The series gained positive feedback from the audience from the beginning and enjoyed great popularity. It was revived many times. The creators of the series have received numerous awards, including for directing, screenplay, music, and acting.
