The recent attacks on an ISKCON temple in Bangladesh wherein the Deities were vandalised and the devotees are still in great danger raises pertinent questions.
Why couldn’t the deities protect themselves and their servitors? Why didn’t Krishna protect His temple and devotees from danger? How can we depend on Krishna for protection? What should we do in such situations? What should our stance be?
We have attempted to reconcile all these questions through the direct teachings of Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda and Śrīla AC Bhaktivedānta Swami Prabhupāda.
We pray that these teachings will provide all of us with the requisite faith and strength to face such situations. We also earnestly pray for the safety and protection of the devotees in Bangladesh.
