    Hello!!, This video helped me a lot, I appreciate you giving us step to step guides on how to make the game. I have an issue with making the scores. Ive already made it so that when player 1 shoots player 2 then player 1 gets a point. Ive also made it so that when a player shoots another player - the frame resets. But how do I make it so that it jumps frames when a player has reached up to 5 points. I will appreciate it if you help me with this thank you! 🙏

      You can add a New Condition of Player 1 (The blue headed person) compared to players score. Score number is held in the Player object not the Score object

    Really informative these series of videos! Thank you for this content ! any chance for anothere insight on qualifiers and groups...I don't know.... something I've always struggled with fast loops and multiple enemies where each one has got multiple active parts, how do you destroy them limbs/actives when, for example, the core has been hit and destroyed? ...and the things get also complicated very fast in trying to implement ai vs ai characters...I struggle with also that... and mastering that... seems also crucial in order to go on the field of lacewing/netplay...

    This is the tutorial that finally made me understand Fusion 2.5 after trying to figure it out for months to no avail, short, gets through a lot, and it even allowed me to take some creative liberties like adding a second character and multiple levels. In events, I set the screen to center on the character.     Bless, the for each loop was exactly what I was trying to figure out with a game I;m working on. Quick question - how did you get the graphics and names for the qualifiers? I have a few basic ones then a bunch of empty glasses, which get difficult to remember.

    I ran into problems trying to convert the player boundaries for vertical directions. Can you make a tutorial explaining how to keep the player from going off screen in a vertical top down shooter? I'll credit you in my game.

      Simplest way, in the event editor New condition P1 character, position, test position Select the up and down arrow that's in the centre box, click ok For an action right click under that p1 character Choose movement, stop This will only work if the player has a movement like eight directions If you don't have a movement for that character you'd need to have a condition for the character, position,compare to y coordinate, lower or equal to, 0, click ok Then action under the character to position, set y coordinate to 0, Repeat for y coordinate equal or greater to whatever your frame height is... Message again if you need more help

    Thank you for these in depth scripted tutorials. I bought the full version of Fusion a while back and while I'm not new to game creation tools and programming, every tool has it's nuance and it's a lot easier to wrap one's mind around a tool's workflow by seeing someone work with it and explaining the process. Kudos and thank you for giving me a little more value out of my software than I paid for it. :)

    Is there a way to make something appear on only one of the screens? E.g. my character has an invisibility effect and shouldn't be visible on opponent's screen.

      Not sure with this solution... maybe if the floor was a solid colour you could try overlaying an active over the split screen by the x and y offset of the 2 players.

    I have one question that I might have missed in these videos. When you gat to the end of the level (where the boss) is and the scrolling stops, how to you then stop your ship from continuously moving forward?

      I think I missed adding this event, good spot! So as the flight speed variable moves the "follow" object onwards, you can add a condition New condition > "Follow" > Position > Compare X position to a value Type in the expression editor: Frame Width - 500 Or when you want the movement to stop and click ok The as an action tick under the flight speed variable > set counter > 0 > OK Then the follower will stop moving. Is that helpful?

      @@ImpactGamersBFD Sweeet I'll look out for it! I did get stuck on one spot, it was around when you're setting up the backdrop movement at 20:15. I followed all the steps, but only the Screen center object moves, not the backdrop. Tried to fiddle with the different object types like the Active Picture and Active Backdrop, but no dice. I also noticed the "Always center" part didnt work for me either even after setting the hot spot proper on the center frame object. So far it's the only issue I had in the whole tutorial. My screen size is 1200 x 800, could that be why? Thanks again!

    Hello,i appreciate the effort you put in these tutorials as they really showcase the incredible potential clickteam fusion has.I would like to ask,would it be possible for you to tell me some guidelines ,or possibly make a tutorial, on how to make a basic calculator using this program?     One thing I'm curious about is adding footsteps for a walking character - specifically having different sound files play for different areas on the map (dirt, grass etc) with multiple variations (round robins). Considering I paid a fair bit for Fusion it's a little weird that free programs like Unity and Godot can handle this sort of thing easily - whereas from the research I've done so far it seems either impossible or very difficult to attain the same thing in Fusion. I'll probably have to save that type of game for a different engine and just make other less complicated games in Fusion.

      Seems simple enough to do in fusion, but you'd have to use grid coordinates, invisible actives or obstacle type to distinguish where the player was. The issue is that backdrops are treated as all one thing in the event editor. Would you like to see an example? Or you can email info@impactgamers.net But yes, in essence fusion works best as a very quick way to make a basic game... Rapid prototyping There's often sales in the holidays where fusion drops to half price or better

    Does Fusion 2.5 support painting tiles with tilesheets or do you have to import a pre-made map/background?

      There's a button on the toolbar called "paint mode" this allows painting of tiles (especially when combined with snap to grid) but it's wise to have map tiles as "backdrop objects" to save memory, and avoid the object limit in the free version Also for large square areas you can use "quick backdrop object" and change it from "solid color" to a "motif" in the property window. This creates a repeating background. We have other tutorials about making RPGs that cover maps

    what i hate is that in the free version you are limited to 3 FRAMES!!!!! What AM I GOING TO DO WITH 3 FRAMES!!! LIKE IF YOU TRY TO MAKE A FNAF FANGAME WHAT DO YOU DO?!!!

      I'd not use frames as areas for a FNAF game, you could have multiple areas in one frame. But also the full version drops in sales to near half price or sometimes better, so you could save up and hold out for that.
