To be honest this has now sent my head down a rabbit hole... The rules say 'During their turn can perform 3 actions at blue danger level (not counting any free action their blue level skill might give them). The actions available are as follows: Move, Open Door, Gain Trait... My interpretation is the blue skill is the heroes bonus skill/power in addition to their 3-4 actions, their 'super power', some have to spend power / increase hunger to trigger it some have to make an attack then powers trigger (meaning it's not 'free' there's a cost to trigger the power), others get a 'free action' or give someone else a 'free action', some get 'once during each enemy phase' abilities etc... At least that's how I've been playing it... So Storm could potentially perform 3 actions as well as once per turn could she spend 1 power/increase 1 hunger to perform 1 gust, where as someone like Rogue can take 3 actions and have a '1 free open door action' up her sleeve too...

@@domnationgames yes i went down a rabbit hole also. There are times i get a free blue skill, a free action from a bystander and a free action from a trait card before even touching my 3/4 actions yet at no time have i been told this is a free action and i start thinking this cant be right, can it? i love things like storm's 'gust' or nightcrawlers 'bamf' but trying to incorporate them into the 3/4 actions seems restrictive and makes the game impossibly hard so i have gone back to my original interpretation that these are all extras unless they say otherwise or obviously add to an action, eg, 'move +1 zone'. sorry to confuse you but its good to know someone else is following the same interpretation. On facebook quite a few reply's said this is covered in the FAQ's but it definitely is not and apart from that i had contradictory reply's. However, loving both games and the hydra resurrection expansion. enjoy.

@@domnationgames so easy to forget rules when you play solo. I frequently forget to boost power or reset hunger after bystanders unless I'm playing with someone else

OooFF! Sounds like that would make The Zombie Thing harder to kill for sure, I haven't come across him in my game yet 😀 The lift rules in Fantastic 4 are definitely harder than the lifts in X-Men Resistance or levels in Hydra Resurrection... I went in to this one so optimistic thinking I liked the way they'd play better made more sense than everything sleeping on the levels your not playing. Now I'm not so sure though, it might be nice to win some games 😅 Thanks for enjoy my video and taking the time to comment 🤩

Thank you so much 🤩 Bystanders won't normally give xp unless the mission says otherwise and yep, when a bystander gets devoured in hero mode all heros lose 1 power and 1 trait

😁😁😁 Thanks Mate 😎 I recorded as I played to keep my reactions real, only problem is while my pc is a beast it's a very noisy beast 😢 I spent the first day before playing just trying to adjust the sound quality... Learnt about sound gates (never knew they were a thing prior) I've attempted to use one but it mustn't of worked very well (probably doesn't help that I'm hearing impaired wear hearing aids both easy and a lot of high frequency noises just don't exist in my world)... I'll keep questing for better sound quality for my next video though 😎

You've picked some powerhouse favourite characters 😁 I'm yet to play with Electro, Lizard or Vulture but Electro and Vulture are extremely mobile and Lizards regeneration would be very helpful on a game that has so few ways to heal players... The power and hunger mechanics work similarly in attacks, you can add the dice but... Hunger keeps going up until you are ravenous and need to devour Power gets used up instantly amd you need to make a 'power up' action to gain 2 more power, you can do this multiple times in a turn tough. Eg 2 power up actions to beef up your dice before an attack 😎 Another big difference between heroes and zombies mode is their health, heroes on get 3 hit point where as zombies get 5 Enjoy the games mate 😎

@@domnationgames How powerful is mysterio illusions. It because i haven’t see you using them in the game yet.

I think his 'Illusionary Enemy ability is pretty powerful (especially for a blue skill) as a hero or guard hunting skill, but at the same time situational as its probably better to roll a few dice to try kill troopers and specialists. Unfortunately I didn't get (or make) an opportunity for him to use it in this game. If a hero was in a zone with 3-5 walkers, one action and +1 hunger to instantly deal as many damage as there are enemies in the square to one target could instantly kill a lot of heroes nicely 🤔 I'll play him again soon and definitely use him to his sting suit... He's up there in my favourite minis in this game looks so cool floating on a zombie hand 🤩

It was definitely a tougher mission, having a timer added to the adrenalin 😁 The Fantastic 4: Under Siege expansion comes with Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, The Thing & Super Skrull Super Heroes and Dr Doom, Namor, Black Bolt, Super Skrull, Mr Fantastic, Invisible Woman & The Thing Zombie Heroes. You also get Agatha Harkness and Alicia Masters Bystanders.

@@domnationgames One strategy that you could've used was "Divide and conquer." instead of focusing all 6 zombies on one floor at a time, have a team of three focus on the first and second floor while the remaining 3 attack the second floor. Leave 1 zombie on those first two floors to repel the enemies that spawn in there and by the time the 3rd floor is clear, have them all rejoin the same team for the final floor. But having multiple zombies on ravenous and they're forced to use devour on heroes instead made things extremely difficult.

That would've made a lot of sense 🤔 I'll admit sometimes I get caught up in the action and play each hero as an individual, I need to remember we're supposed to be a team 😅

You're in for a treat 😎 This game captures Marvel comics so well, from the miniatures poses to the names of the moves on the heroes cards and how they work. It's easily my new favourite game to play solo and with friends 😁

Thanks Mate, Yes, Thor is Badarse! 5 health and hits you for two wounds 😵

You'd need someone like Hulk or The Thing to go toe to toe with Thor, or the zombie trait card that lowers the toughness of your enemies by 1 to help you take him out. Anything that lowers the toughness of your enemies makes Thor easier to beat but he's very much one of the last heroes you want to face.

100% was a shame Thing had to spend 2 actions before attacking him, then only got one attack and went ravenous so had to try devour for his last action 😢

Thanks again for wickedly in depth feedback Martin, love it! 😎 I did record commentary while playing/filming and intended to add it to this video but discovered during editing that my microphone pics up way too my background noise from my pc's fans and it sounded terrible. This game is so great, they've really nailed the Marvel universes vibe which makes it much fun to play, maybe next week I'll do a review video sharing in more detail why I think it's so great and what sets it apart from other Zombicide games 😎 I'd definitely be keen to pop round for a game, if we're on the same part of planet earth 😉

You can't play this one standalone. It'll need either the Marvel Zombies or X-Men Resistance to play it's solo missions or preferably both Marvel Zombies and X-Men Resistance as it also introduces player vs player, heroes vs zombie heroes

Hi Martin, Thank you for watching my videos and taking the time to offer very insightful feedback, I really appreciate it 😁 I have gone and subscribed to Tabletop Wolf and Paul Darcy (after watching Paul play I'm keen to pull out my Black Plague / Green Horde collection... It's been far too long since I've played it hahaha (stay on topic Dom) ) I will be sure to check out more of their content and learn from their channels too. As much as I enjoyed creating the stop motion video, and I enjoyed it a lot, I do agree upon rewatching it I did think it lost the 'human playing element' and I wondered how people would react... Perhaps I'll find a way to get creative 🤔 I am excited to hear people are enjoying my games and will strive to act on feedback to create an entertaining playthrough channel for gamers as I am really enjoying creating content.

I taught my daughters to play Black Plague with me but they're both teenagers now and not as interested in playing boardgames with their dad these days... Not that I'm complaining too much though, they used to be all to keen on shooting into dads square and I died from their attacks as often as I did zombies 😅

@@domnationgames my youngest sulks if he hasnt got the best weapons and my oldest gets angry and is a control freak and they both argue constantly. so much for co-operative games.

Was definitely a lot of work (and fun) doing the stop motion 😊 Just had to realist the whole video though, as I woke up and rewatched it only to find a random clip of me mid game instead of at the end where it belonged.

He just inherited the X-Men mansion and tasty meal he'd be chuffed 😉😅

PvP is sweet, I own all the fantasy zombicide and that never had a PvP option so this is boss! Will be even better when it's not me vs me but I rekon I put up a good fight against myself 😅

Solo is awesome, it's cool how there's special rules upping the ante if you take 6 players 😁 I also like that they done away with gear, and so many actions aren't wasted searching for gear 😎

And remove Ambush from trait deck 😉

Same for enemy Heroes. Extra activation gives them the full 2 actions. You moved Black Cat only once.

😁 Thank you for the feedback. Good point on the spawns I'll sort that out in games to come. And WoW can't believe I missed that ruling on the runners and heros. Checked the book and you're right, they instantly active taking their action(s), I was defaulting to Zombicide Black Plague ruling, where top of spawn cards say 1 extra action; I'll remember this moving forwards too 😎

Actually it's the same in Black Plague aswell 😁 1 Extra activation = 2 actions for runners. No worries, we've all made this sort of mistakes, especially when rules are different among versions of Zombicide, we live and learn 😊. For future gameplays, I would love to see a Thanos vs Red Skull mission.

Oh and as far as I know, even if that Sentinel had range 2, it still needs line of sight to attack and los doesn't go through rooms, unless he has an ability thay I'm missing.

Aye 😁... You saw the ending 😉 Yeh I got caught up in the excitement of playing the game/playing with new camera/filming myself playing and didn't realise until editing but yes that sentinel could've only shot into the first room not the second, so I could've survived a little bit longer... Possibly... Next game I'll relax a little more and get it right 😁 Going to take your suggestion and play Red Skull vs Zombie Thanos on Monday 😎
