I always use the longest screws as possible, but don’t interfere with the function of the gun. Always make sure prior to mounting them that the screw fits the whole properly because there are some manufacturers that the thread pitch is slightly different or the screw size is slightly different, which makes a difference whether it works or not. That’s why Holosun has started shipping different types of screws with their optics.

Exactly but just the cheaper version in quality. I’m wondering with all the previously sold VP-9 that was already optic cut, who would buy this all over. There’s nothing truly new about it accept for the K model. Other than that they drop the ball trying to appeal to law enforcement and military with being striker fire. They should have invested R&D money into factory optic cut for the P-30. Once again we see another company drop the ball by not building things directly to please the commercial market. Let’s see how many government contracts this gun attracts. Only when reality hits, they would then try to offer this to the commercial market as if we asked for it. The release of this gun is going to fade away quickly cause it’s not new or groundbreaking.

The SK is being discontinued, you likely will not see a VP45. The VP40 is not terribly popular so I imagine we will see it go away. As far as the CC9 goes, who knows what they have up their sleeve.

I believe they have 10 round mags. But honestly either one is a great choice!

Great thing is I’m not a TH-camr. I’m a trainer who has a channel to share some info. I wish I had different color shirts from HK like that one but they are only in black. Glad the video was helpful.

I think HK offers tritium on every gun in the catalog. Even the USP/HK45/P30

However optics equipped guns are a reality and blacked out backup sights avoid focusing on the front sight. I’m sure they will have non optic options though.

I love my P30 LEM (I have 3) but it’s a preference for sure. This VP9 isn’t just small changes they are small changes that made a significant improvement.

The vp9 is far and away the biggest commercial success for them, which is why they updated them this way. I want HK USA to succeed so I'm going to buy whatever they put out. But I will say that like you, I love my p30L guns and my p2000 and my USP 45 expert. HK hammer guns are just something special. 😊

Police agencies aren’t going to go backwards to hammer fired weapons. New recruits are all Gen-Z and less than 5% of active police would call themselves “firearm enthusiasts”. The ones that are belong to SWAT/SRT groups that primary AR and M4 rifles for the last 20 years Hammer guns are the new stick shift cars

That was a shit take. I’ve had my VP9 over ten years and carry it everyday. Could not be happier.

You’re so wrong. I shoot both the G45 and 19x excellent and conceal carried both. People with bigger hands love the bigger grip than the G19.

I know that, that’s why I was so intrigued by the K. But, I struggle with the shorter grip length and that’s a me thing. I could get used to the K but it would take me awhile. But also I train with what I carry where a lot of people carry a smaller gun than they train with and that makes no sense to me.

@ the G19 or M&P C which shoots great is a lot of peoples sweet spot. I can’t carry my VP9’s with Gray guns trigger works because it prints to much for me. I agree I don’t want to go smaller even though I have trained smaller unless I have to. Love full size grips in tracking classes outside waist but also train with carry size. Thanks for video.

I think if you’re in the place where the G19 size gun works for you I think you’ll love the VP9K

Or someone who is not fond of 365 rust or the fact the frame warps with their propriety light mount system. I had all the sit upgrades and to much money into a 365x and I’ve swapped to the cc9 is the sig has to many issues. If you actually shot more than a mag you would know. I’m close to 12k in the sig and the only good thing going for it is its form factor. HK now has it and with reliability.

I wear 5.11 jeans daily and have not noticed the dye running on to my shoes or at all. I’d consider the fading I’ve noticed normal wear. Hope the helps!

I got mine from HK because I am a brand ambassador for HK. The premium dealers are the ones who got them first. However each dealer only got 2 to start with ( 2 in october) and I believe 2 this month. If not now after the first of the year they will be readily available.

I hate waiting for something I’m excited about. Since filming this video less than a week ago we have had another 300 rounds go through it with a bunch of different shooters. With the feedback being very positive.

Depending on what you’re coming from, it definitely is different. But the more I’m shooting it the more I like it too.

Features are not apples to apples on the shooters global vs. the commander though.

I’ve used both and the shooters global is superior in every way except one. The SG has no dedicated go button. It’s really a bummer too.

Coming from the USP have you tried the P30?

It’s a standard T10 head and whatever screw size came with the optic.

Sorry I don’t know the size screws Holosun or Trijicon sends with the optics. You’ll have to contact them.

@@PrecisionDefensiveSolutions I found out that I can use the Holosun scs and won’t have to use a plate. My question was what size torq bit goes in the oem slide plate. It should be the same for every VP9 oem cut plate
