I have a 1951 version of the Buescher Aristocrat 140. Several years ago I paid $200.00… it needs rebuild. After this demo. I think this horn will get the full rebuild with Roo pads!

I'm coming into 400 model myself, some notes: It is VERY responsive to overtones (altissimos not missing) The octave key should not be used for middle D it just over shoots to an A unless u drop your jaw Also the mouthpiece matters a lot when it comes to the tone (I'm using a vintage valdoran mouthpiece so very sweet sound) Will post back with serial number on the 15th of June 2023 about a week and a half after this comment

I own a Comm II, the finest alto sax I've ever played. I have several alto pro quality horns; this one outshines them all. Intonation in a 1938 horn has to be the number 1 quality of this horn, but this horn packs more features. Low notes below low C are another fabulous trait of this sax. Essentially C#, B, B flat are regular notes of the instrument. No break, nothing more for concern. These notes play easy.

Hi, I am interested in 26m. I am not good at listening to English. But it is possible to read. How about the tone of 26m? Is it dark? What is the difference from other conn new wonder series or 6m? I'm curious. Can you explain one more thing compared to the modern saxophone Yamaha 62 model?

What year is this? I’m looking at what I think is a 30’s Martin bari with Art Deco style engraving on the bell. All I find online are newer 50’s baritones so I can’t identify it.

What vintage is your Aristocrat? Mine is an Aristocrat from the sixties and seems to be a Bundy clone.By the way,I've long since learned that Buescher is pronounced "Bisher".My first sax was a Buescher C Melody sax and my current C Melody is a Dwyer and Brother made in Saint Paul,MN and is a stencil of a Buescher circa 1910.At least that was what the seller claimed in his ebay ad.
