มุมมอง 3.7K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Learn how a recruiter actually reads or scans your resume in 6.25 seconds. Resume writing is challenging, but this video shows you what a recruiter looks at so that you can be sure to address these areas. Jeff shares with you: 1) How a large job board put 30 recruiters in a room and studied everything about how they looked at resumes 2) That they even used eye tracking software to study where a...
Is it bad to use white out on an application??
This is the hardest listening skill using I ever seen🙃 From mason education center windsor
For fired........try to make peace with the employer and extend out a olive branch and try to get them to say you were just laid-off due to cutbacks then apologize and thank them for the employment opportunity.
Hello Jeff I have a difficult question. What should I write in the "previous employer" section if I never had a job before?
If you're older like me, raised without a computer never did a resume and nearly all your old employers have passed on and you don't remember dates and times from years ago then good luck, you'll definitely need it..
I just watched this after I got my first pay I can tell people that I'm a new hvac tech and what I did for desired pay is ik new techs can make 10 to 12$ a hour experienced techs make 30 to 40 a hour do I put 20$ down and I ended up starting off at 15$ a hour I mainly based it off my skills plus if you tell any hvac manager you want 40$ straight off if there nice enough and need the help they will talk to you and bump it down to 20 and go from there
Hey Jeff, Nice video. The resume for review page/Uploader on your website doesn't work anymore. I was trying to get my resume reviewed. Thanks Tanmay
What if you don't remember your employer's name cuz it was a long time ago
What if you put whatever number equals the province minimum wage?
Sadly, that may be what they give you then regardless of a companies actually starting wage, I have a buddy that just went through this..
If the application says "employment dates" for previous Job and the answer box looks like this: ____ / ____ What should I put down for it? Does it mean (for example) march 18, 2018 / march 19, 2019? Or is it looking for the exact date of my hire like march 18/2021?

I can appreciate the content of this video. However, when does a job ever end well or without negativity? If things are great, they don't end. Negativity is an unfortunate consequence of any cycle of productivity. Come on already, the world is far from perfect. When is anyone on the job search as a result of a positive experience with their previous employer? No one leaves their great job, and goes jobless to find a better job. I've heard this before, it just doesn't make sense to me. It's like having your entire city wiped out by a tsunami, and having nothing bad to say about the experience. Like as if no other seaside town would have you as a resident because you have something bad to say about the last seaside town you came from. Employers are going to have former employees who are disgruntled or dissatisfied and don't have nice things to say. They can't avoid it.
Sure, people leave on good terms. I left to return to college. I also left to take a better position with a different company.
anyone here for a school assignment?
I m u r 60 here
What if I said college for “reasons for leaving”
And don't worry! I'm not the one that gave you the thumbs down! 😆😆😆😆
How about, "how to avoid job applications and still get highered"? 😂😂😂😂 I'm serious! All the best, hardest workers I've known come with hardly anything! Just a social security card and a phone number or sometimes just a phone number! And they quickly do the fastest, finest work while knowing hardly any English at all!! We actual American citizens are getting shit all the time just to get minimum wage paying, general labor jobs while illegals just get the job the very same day without needing all that tedious, irrelevant detail for job applications that could all just be BS given by the applicant anyway! Before, job applications for average, general labor only had a reasonable amount of info that was asked for; things that are actually needed, like your full name, s.s.#, your home address, phone number, emergency contacts, your education, and a simple description of your skills. But then, spoiled rotton employers started wanting ridiculous, detailed job history with dates, ADDRESSES and even the frick'n phone numbers of supervisors!! And they want like 5 of them or at least THREE of those!! 😂😂😂😂😂 So stupid and ridiculous! They also started wanting 3 contacts of idiots you don't even know (😂😂😂😂)! Then, they even started adding little math pop quizzes! And now, those assholes even want a damn, vain, resume and cover letter for underpaying minimum wage jobs too!!??? What's next? A short film about our personal lives? Jesus!! 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 The average American is doomed!! No wonder so many people are always out of frick'n work!! Now it all makes sense!! People just want to work, man! Not spill their guts trying to impress cheap, slave-driving employers! We Americans have to stop kissing ass, acting like slaves with no lives or time needed for ourselves and need to take back America!! 🇺🇸🗽🔔📣
You misspelled hired.
@@lovethemflowers lmao
@@lovethemflowers Go complain about simple typos to illegal immigrants who many can't even write in their own language. They'll all easily out-perform most Western workers and DO. Also, learn to read, listen and think instead of say completely irrelevant, meaningless things like a child.
