Mine jams every hunt and always have. Despite gunsmiths trying to fix. Many reviews say same. Maybe bc mine is the 3.5”?

Inertia needs heavy loads and break in before thinking about dealing with issues

got an 1187 Remington. over 20 yrs. use it every bird season. over 1000 + rds thru it. still going. plus changed out the gas ring.

I see this is an Older Post, but I will add My 2 cents anyway... I have Hunted EVERYTHING with this Shotgun... Clean it Twice a Year & it will Never let You down! From #8 light Clay Loads to 3" BB Goose Loads, It is the Smoothest, Lightest Recoiling 12 guage Shotgun I have EVER Shot, and Im now 59 years old, so I have shot My fair-share of Shotguns... The ONLY Problem I have had with It was the Forend got a 2" split towards the rear, as the Wood is very thin, but one trip to the Gunsmith, and Its good as new... If You see a Browning Gold Hunter at a Gunshow or on the 'Used Rack' at Your local dealer, "Buy It", You can Thank Me later...👍

I’ve had a FRanchi for almost 4 years and it works well no malfunctions. It gets grimy but I clean it well and often

Ive been running mine for over 15yrs. Break it in 250 rds of heavy loads. Mine is sooo broke in it runs wet or dry. Clean 1x yr. Its now my salt water gun. Dont use the factory tubes. They will lock up in your barrel.

Is it just archery or can you shoot firearms?

You still had plenty of room to adjust the shoulder straps . . .

Remember when you clean the Gun with a rod and wire brush. The barrel ring has 2 holes in the barrel for your shell ejection. When they are plugged it will back up on you!

Just curious as I'm looking for a semi-auto to get into for Hunting and Sporting on the cheap end (Wife Approved, with a kid on the way) Do you still have the M3000 and has it held up over time?

mine has been flawless dirty or clean. I shoot it better than my original SBE too.

Stoger is a piece of crap !you should try a girsan mc312 . Much better gun for the money

How is the velcro for the straps holding up? I've always hated waders that use velcro as opposed to clips, it never seems to last.

Just break your stoeger m3000’s in with heavy load… and no, steel #3 1550fps is not “heavy enough” to break it in… trust me, it wouldnt cycle those or any light loads at first ofc…. I shot about 30, 2 3/4 slugs/buckshot through it, and it hasnt failed to cycle anything since…. I was SUPER worried at first that it wouldnt cycle, but the manual CLEARLY states to shoot 100-200 “heavy game loads” through it before trying to cycle light loads

The only other things you could have said about this gun would have been the speed load assist and the back bored forcing cone. This is my go to gun. I have had it since the 90"s, would not trade it for any SBE on the market!!!

Inherited this gun from my father in law. He bought it right before he died. Never fired. I took it out and found two problems immediately. It wouldnt cycle properly and eject the shells. It would jam up. The bolt handle also just "fell out" after firing. Any idea on either of these issues?

Perhaps you or other Stoeger users can tell me: does the Stoeger come with the appropriate shims to set it up for neutral cast? I know at the present it's impossible to set up a Benelli for neutral cast.

Would you recommend it in 20cal over the ata neo 20cal?

You can increase extraction 300% by replacing the factory extractor with a Benelli extractor. My M3000 is my competition piece, and ever since I did the extractor swop all my extraction problems went away…..

Inertia driven guns prefer less lube and lighter viscosity lube like ballistol. May improve reliability for your stoeger M3000 and especially in those nasty waterfowl conditions

you only have those shoulder straps half way adjusted… tighten them things up more!!!!

Good review. Suggestion from an old campaigner: Get yourself a good cleaning rod with a jag, mop head, and bronze wire brush. The pull through types are ok for in the field but are not as good for a really good cleaning. 😎
