Deep Clean and Organize Lower Half of my Kitchen! No talking, just music.
Hello Friends,
Welcome to my kitchen today. I am doing a deep clean and organize on just the lower half of the kitchen as not everything has to be done all to once. Baby steps. I could have done just one cabinet, but frankly, I don't have that much in may kitchen so the whole lower half it is!
I hope you get inspired and enjoy the video and music!

We had in mind to go to the Aquarium if we could tourists season is 365 days a year and if the sun is out they somehow get 2 days in one and pack all places around here. So....it is still on our list. As you watch this we will be in GA bringing our stuff up to TN! Keep in mind if...

I have to commend you, because I am just like you, and I also have a tendency to want to keep every little thing. I am going through the planning stage of moving my craft room. I am currently in a 10x10 room. It triples as a home office, toy room for my grandchildren, and my craft room. We are going to convert the garage into a craft studio and a workshop for my husband. My side of the garage will be shared with the laundry and spare fridge, also having to be mindful of the pull-down attic access door. I love the way you broke down the small items into tubs. That is a very helpful idea. I think that I will borrow that one! Thank you for the encouragement that you gave, and the incentive to do a little something every day! We have to lift each other up and hopefully it will help someone along the way!!👏👏👏

Keep an eye out for my current craft room organizational videos starting sometime in September. As we have moved, most of my supplies are in storage and will be back with me by September 1. After dealing with sorting possessions of five family members who all died within eighteen months I can certainly sympathize with what you are doing. I am now sorting boxes of items I had shipped from the UK, for the last couple of years, I did not have the physical, emotional or mental abilty to handle the job due to serious medical issues. Recently, I started sorting. Progress is being made, albeit slowly, and I am exhausted lifting heavy items without help, Social Security doesn't make paying someone feasible, it is what it is. My goal is to have a clean and tidy and simplified home. You are doing a great job!

Fired or laid off? It's pretty common to be cut/laid off like that. Happened to a friend of mine the year before he was planning on taking social security and retiring. In Massachusetts we have MassHealth for medical insurance for low income. You're in Georgia? www.benefits.gov/benefit/1626 What is income eligibility for SNAP? Food pantries help. Utility discounts - call gas/electric. Have a huge yard sale and purge - you don't want the cost of moving junk..and get the smallest storage and pack it full - storage units are a total waste of money. It's a new start - jump in! You don't have a choice so go with it. I've been through mulltiple layoffs and financial ruin. Don't waste too much of you life grieving or life will pass you by is my best advice. Out with the old! Minimalism is freedom!

I agree, but personally, I also needed to slow down in life. I gave up, volunteering, and have eliminated actiivities other than walking my little dog, or cycling. I discoved that being distracted by too much business is not productive. Speaking of dumpsters, they are shockingly expensive to hire. I counted a total of eleven at one family member's home. They had lived in the same house for more than sixty years. People in the UK who lived through two World Wars did not part with anything they considered to be useful and/or of value. For instance they used parts from one lawn mower to repair another, nothing was ever wasted. I work on sorting something every day, without pushing myself to do as much as possible, or keep to a time schedule. I am thankful to be able to work without pressure from anyone.

I knew of a situation in an “employee” owned company. One of the early employees passed away suddenly leaving a huge chunk of company stock to his wife. Being good Christian men, they held a board meeting where they conspired and passed a motion that would dilute the share price, and since the widow wasn’t an employee she was forced to sell the shares back to the company at an extremely low rate. This was the wife of a man who had literally helped found the company. The owner knew this woman for 30+ years and pulled that crap during the worst season of her life. Everyone wants to think employee owned businesses are this wonderful equitable thing. They even use it to advertise on packaging. But humans are humans, and humans suck. My advice: Be loud. Post on social media tagging the company. Get on the news. Screwing your husband will cost them less than bad publicity. And see if his shares entitle him voting rights within the company and take advantage of them if he has them. Sorry you are going through this

    • @Mydailyishstruggle

My husband is not a man to make waves and he believes in what you do to others will come back on you 10 fold. We will be fine financially, not as well as if they hadn't done all they did but we will be ok. I don't typically get in his business or tell him what to do, but he agreed me using his situation to inform others and maybe inspire others to watch their finances or tell them they will be ok if they are going through similar things is what my purpose is here. I get emotional, I am human, and scared, but I will not let some of these people who feel I am lying or not being as truthful as I can be run me off this channel. I have reached more people in a positive way than in a negative way. We are blessed to be in our decent position and I need to remind myself and my husband of that daily. Thank you for your comment. ❤️

He should have never signed to get his $$$. That is the lynch pin where you guys sort of blew apart your options. Labor atty's that specializes in ESOP's are easily accessible and work on small retainers. The fact he acquired more stock than his Mgr, and he got fired for that? That is extremely unlikely..

    • @Mydailyishstruggle
      @Mydailyishstruggle 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

I'm sure it isn't the only reason ( if it is the reason) but quiet hearsay at the office is it did play a part in the whole thing. But the biggest thing that they actually told him during the firing is that he made too much money for his position and they are downsizing the division he was in. He left this company years sago to see if he could make it outside of their safety net, ( he did and did very well but you remember 2008?) they allowed you to do this once and come back within a certain period of time with no consequences to leaving, as in they didn't say ok you left for a year so you start at the bottom when you come back. They took his ESOP and put in in an account on hold for 5 years and the stock prices were very high at that point, he was gone for 1 year and 4 months and he negotiated his way back into the company when he saw things going south in 2008 and he was put on salary instead of hourly. Then he took the money in the bank and bought as many shares as he could in 2008 when they were at their lowest in 30 years. You see where this is going, he owned more shares than the vast majority of the company. It is a privately owned company so there is no buying and selling shares at your leisure. Then he continued yearly to buy shares until he was fully vested. Now he has years plus age and that should have gotten him his ESOP asap. HOWEVER, they said they are giving it to him based on what it is worth this year, which means he does not see the money until next year after their financial review. Yes I agree he should have contacted a lawyer but he didn't. He felt cornered as we live essentially paycheck to paycheck on a zero balance budget. We have no debt other than mortgage but we did kinda go crazy in living comfortably with extras that crept up over the years. We made that mistake and are paying for it now. But we will be fine financially in the long run. Now our long term question is do we want to invest next year in building our own business up or do we want to diversify the money and not "retire" from working for another company. Or split it and do both? Neither of us knows anything about diversifying and Hubby's Money man works for the company so we are on the hunt for another person too. I'm not attempting to gain sympathy in doing these videos as I have been accused of, I am reacting emotionally to the situation and trying to inform and inspire others to not see the glass as half empty. But I'm human if people couldn't tell. This channel was for cleaning and organizing but I guess this is the ultimate cleaning and organizing challenge that someone could face. 😏 Thank you for your comment.

@Mydailyishstruggle ok so what I am hearing is the universe is telling, well screaming at him to make a change. That company doesn't give AF about him..nor does mine. Been an engineer here for 20 yrs. I am amazed my key card works on a Monday sometimes.

Thank you. Yes we are VERY blessed to not only have each other but we balance each other out well. We have our moments, of course, but I am glad we get along well enough and give each other grace periods to vent and calm down then talk things through. We survived my daughters battle with cancer so this is a walk in the park...albeit sometimes the park is dark and cold with unknown fears lurking in the shadows...LOL. We will make it though to the end ultimately. Thank you for your comment. ❤️

Something tells me you are not being completely forthcoming or maybe not fully informed as to the reasoning for his firing. Either way, focus on solutions rather than excuses. You have my empathy but not my sympathy. Looks like you're living better than 90 percent of the planet, so maybe instead of coming on TH-cam with a sob story, you should probably go on Indeed and find a job. Best of luck.

No details or amounts on the severance package or how much is in the 401K. My guess is the 401K is substantial and the PERSON controls the 401K not the EMPLOYER. They can not hold his money until 2025. Just not how it works at all. And what about the equity in the house? Sucks this person lost his job but they are still way better off than most people

I'm not looking for sympathy at all, I am looking to bring information and give hope to those going through what we are right now. I have been looking for a regular job and have interviewed many times, but I'm not qualified for many things so I came started this TH-cam channel to inspire people and reach out to make connections. I never claimed to be living in poverty or even close. I have in the past lived in my car and in a room at the back of the salon I worked at with 2 kids while working 3 jobs and getting a divorce from an abusive husband. I know poverty, pain and being one of the unfortunate people in this world, and I worked very hard to just feed my kids. After getting my own place so my kids had a place to safely lay their heads at night I met the man I am married to now. I still worked 2 jobs at that point and he worked 2 jobs as well. We are both very hard workers however my genetics have torn my body apart and I am not in a position to "go get a job" as you seem to think I need to do. So I created my own company, and this last year my husband and I created a second company. They are small but growing and I am about to pick up work writing blogs. I'm not great at grammar or spelling some days and I have essential tremors so there are days I can't even brush my teeth without help, My husband has had to help me use utensil at times, so tell me again how I "just" need to go on indeed and get a job. My husband has been unemployed now 7 business days and he has gotten up every morning and has had to deal with legal stuff, ins, references, resumes, job hunting, unemployment paperwork, and many more things that will ultimately get him working again. Yes we are of the privlaged 10% of this country and ultimately we will be fine, as I keep stating, but that does not make it less shocking to lose a job after 30 years. I am here to inspire and uplift people in their lives, that doesn't mean I'm not human and can't show emotion. I am here to keep things real in relatively real time. Thank you for your comment but I need neither you sympathy or your "just do it" attitude when you clearly have not grasped the entire situation. Have a blessed day and go do something nice for someone in the world.

I have stated many times that financially we will be ok. We do not have credit cards, we live by what we make alone. Yes we will be selling the house and hopefully making enough money to be comfortable until my husband gets a job. Yes the ESOP and 401k will put us in a position of being able to retire happy but we don't control the ESOP, the company does and until they cash that out and put that money into our 401k we don't have anything but what's in the bank, which at the moment is $84 because we live on a zero balance and zero debt life and put everything into our future. Only debt we have is our mortgage and we have been paying on that for 12 years. We did take money out of our 401k the other day but that hasn't gotten to us yet, it is enough to make do until we sell the house. The severance package from what I understand will be given to us either this week or doled out over the next 8 weeks, we are waiting to see what they actually do. It is 8 weeks of pay plus vacation pay. Again, I have stated we will be fine ultimately, last week was just a a blow to our immediate financial situation as I had paid all the bills for the month and then there was only about $400 left in our account. I was not looking to gain sympathy in my videos, I was looking to show people what we are doing and how we are handling this situation and maybe help others stay calm and upbeat but have grace and know they will experience waves of emotions that normally you don't associate with a job loss. Thank you for your comment.

My heart bleeds for you. If I could help financially, I would. I do have some advice. Don't trust anything from his company or their lawyers. You own stock in the company, sell it on the market. You don't owe them anything, not even consideration for anything. See if you can consult a lawyer from your home state to help you get everything you are owed.

    • @Mydailyishstruggle
