Goat Horn - 2005 - Threatening Force (Full EP)
Goat Horn was a heavy metal band founded in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada in 1999. The band was composed of Jason Decay (vocals / bass), Brandon Wars (guitar) and Steel Rider (drums). Decay, Wars, and Rider had all been in and out of bands on the local scene before forming Goat Horn. What began as a jam of Cathedral and Judas Priest covers quickly developed into a serious project. Their music was i...

I never really thought about what the scene might have been at the time. I love black metal and it's one of the genres that won me over. But I never realised how harsh the reality must have been. Personally I've always admired Euronymous and been a big supporter of him despite what he did to the Dead and the rest of the scene, I enjoy his music immensely but I never got the dark side he created and what he did with it. I've always liked Varga and have come to realize that the truth is always somewhere in between. It's a shame that his channel got cancelled, it's true that he's very crazy in his videos, but here you can see that he speaks from the heart
I was really into black metal back in high school.. and I've recently bounced back to it since 18 years.. [I'm old now wow 😅] I'm that few % that really enjoys burzum while I paint.. takes me somewhere else 🤘🤘🤘
Why was varg cancelled but not hellhammer? 😂 anyone who knew him can tell you how much of a racist he was but here we are cancelling varg. I however would also like to share some knowledge with you from that night which changed everything. Varg set out to kill on that night. He drove several hours to “sign a contract” when he had no intention of signing it but to just confront him. He knew he had a shotgun and so he armed himself with a knife to surprise him and so he did. Not only that but he involved a friend and made him an accomplice in his crime. It was a calculated move and varg knew he never had the balls to do what he said because it was all a gimmick for him to seem more extreme than he actually was. Varg was very pissed off at him from that interview, not being paid for his records and capitalised on the opportunity to take the throne.
One decent song..??
Varg sucks ass lol
@Tyrant of the Slaughter do you have the original Varg videos (without spanish subs)? Can you share them? Thanks
You are actually insane. Go back to your video where you blame Euronymous for your wrong doings. You were clearly jealous. You’re still speaking on the topic. You’re weird. Seek mental help.
If you want your music to be “original” then you will have to go full avant-garde because all music is literally standing on the shoulders of Giants that came before
This guys an idiot!!
Worst band at the klan rally
Mayhem had only one good song? Cmon that’s just dumb I thought varg is better than that
This guys music is trash anyway lol
Perfectly spoken Varg.
What wld u do if you hear someone plan to kill you and they previously ripped you off? Sad but true.
If the internet with music streaming existed during the time of Mayhem, Euronymous would surely have had a heart attack.
One of my absolute all time faves! 👊🤘
Brillant Riff/Song! It’s heavy!! 👊🤘
I like, and even prefer, Varg's version of things. But I realize he is just a facade. It's tragic, really, because I agree with him on many things. I found a traditional woman, moved to a very rural area, got land, home school my children, and strive to live a very simple life.
what a dumb ass
What is wrong with a black Metal god?he refused to get old...

All i really know is his music is exceptional. I first heard his music as a teenager. My friend bought the then new album. When i heard tomhet the last track on the album i was completely mesmerised. I just knew this man was a genius. Im really not sure about anything to do with him as a person i just realise hes an extraordinary musician.
its all a trap, music, media, culture. landmine after landmine, to make you fall into pregnancy, criminal activity, drugs, all of it pushed onto children before they are wise enough to see these things as traps, when you fall into any of these, they have you as a slave for life
aside from the romanticists and weird stan culture, when it comes to their musicality, i find mayhem to be an unappreciated & underrated niche. i'm gonna talk about a few songs in particular... Funeral Fog: is the most traditional 2nd wave mayhem song. a masterfully paced and built up track. amazing drum rolls throughout the song, atilla's version really builds up tension in the vocals. also, 2 riffs in the song inspired 2 riffs in My Journey to the Stars. Freezing Moon: most iconic black metal solo. the main tremolo riff ain't the best but that 2nd riff was groovy af, and i wish that bridge riff before that verse went on longer... Cursed in eternity: one of the best tremolo riffs ever has to be the riff after the 2nd verse. this used to be my favorite song in the album at one point, and is the most "dmds" sounding song. Pagan Fears: The Arpeggio/power chord combo in the second riff is insanely diabolical, and the third riff was used by Darkthrone in Under A Funeral Moon. Life Eternal: the most powerful song on the album by far. sounds like you're being rushed out of a Transylvanian prison out of the window, on a magic carpet, then as you fly above the clouds, your vampiric blood boils and your skin burns. the breakdown is one of the best i've ever heard in metal, period! i probably wouldn't have gotten into their music if it weren't for their story, but goddamn is there some overlooked gold in that album... i think it's worth noting that mayhem toured leipzig in 1990, and released the tapes in 91'. that experimental sloppy, dank, steampunk sound was the first biggest step from 1st wave bm 2nd wave, and sounds like that were unheard of in metal. many figureheads of the 2nd wave, including fenriz, owned the tape. so while nocturno culto denies influence from mayhem, the foundation for dt's sound is undeniably built off their influence.
Yea i have no idea why he said that they only had one good song, he really lost in my eyes
I take everything he says with a grain of salt bc of who he is and the hatred he had
I like how he actually feels good about bands who felt inspired by his music to make their own bands. He may have some other shi!!y ideas, but he does recognize what those bands were doing. Every band is a follower of some other band, just like he said.
talking bad at dead people is lame
It's funny how much he talks shit about his murder victim. I doubt Euronymous would have ever actually tried to kill Varg because he was a pussy, but Varg was not
main job: Musician, sub jobs: Story Teller, Game Designer ... 🤔
thanks Mimir
"they had once decent song freezing moon"- he had a point to be fair!
Burzum: Vampetas song💀🤌🤘
Varg is amazing
"There is no positive in black metal music".... probably the only honest thing Varg has ever said.
The hubris on this fucking guy to suggest that Enslaved stole his sound. Maybe Enslaved's older stuff had a slight similarity to Burzum but they were already so much more than that from the jump. Ivar Bjornson has more talent in his fat big toe than Vikerness can even wrap his looney mind around.
its funny because it´s like that everywhere....
This is one seriously pissed off little girl...
U r a joke....stabbed him how many times in the back??..self defense hah?...u r a coward
Blackmetal is very gaey.
People hate Varg just because media tells them to and says he’s this horrible racist when in reality he’s just very cultural
If I lived in a country where 15 years is the maximum prison sentence, I could see me playing things a little more, umm, fast and loose. 😊
Burzum is not the best band out there. But lost wisdom is one of the hardest most evil songs I'll ever hear. Holy fuck. Literally. I hope they rock that shit at my funeral! Then burn the motherfucker down!
hey thats cool varg, i beleive music is to be mimiced when its good and evolve, you are a very good man,we always followed you here in the u.s.thanks for your contribution to music and all metal world wide.
yeah I was gonna say, it'd be insane to resent later BM bands for "ripping off" the earlier 2nd wave BM bands when the latter were "ripping off" plenty of earlier bands as well. Every musician has influences, it's normal. War-Burzum is clearly heavily inspired by Necromancy-Bathory. Nothing wrong with that, you hear somebody's music and think "That's great, I'd like to expand upon that".
Look at all these posers in the comments saying what he did is cool looool I remember being 13 once too
