Filosofi nya ondel-ondel apa bg kalau boleh tau yg tau Monggo dijawab penasaran keren
Waduh kurang paham bang coba tanya yg asli betawi orang yg lebih tua tau
Jadi waktu jaman dulu banget, ondel-ondel dipercaya bisa mengusir roh jahat. Makanya sering ditanggep/diundang ke kampung-kampung dipake untuk mengusir roh jahat. Tapi semenjak suku betawi mengenal Islam, kepercayaan itu mulai ditinggalkan. Akhirnya ondel-ondel dijadikan sebagai salah satu ikon kebudayaan betawi. Kenapa warna muka ondel-ondel merah (laki-laki) & putih (wanita). MERAH untuk melambangkan keberanian, semangat, dan ketegasan. PUTIH untuk melambangkan kesucian, keanggunan, dan kelembutan.
