There's light bleed problems all over the ship, unfortunately. It's just one of those things I think I'll just have to live with. I mean, naturally, there ARE ways to mitigate those. But it'd involve taking the entire thing apart and basically starting over from scratch. Which, by this point of the build, would be catastrophically hard to do. Now, in the future, should this channel take off and start making money, or if there were someone who wanted this built as a commissioned build, I may do another one of this and do a completely modified ultimate version of this model. But, at this point, that is WAY down the line.

Yeah understood. My problem is the screwed arnt connecting to the screw holes and securing it, leaving a noticeable gap to where you can see the light. 🤷🏼‍♂️ ehh will figure it out. Thanks and good luck!

I have not and, with where I am with the model, as well as my budget, I don't think I'm likely going to. I am considering options, though. Maybe attempting to add the rivet details using a needle and candle wax, then hitting it with the airbrush and sealing it up. Or, for me, I'm fine leaving it as is. I mean, with all the upgrades I'm doing, this ship looks incredible, even if imperfect. If I go through with my testing, of course I will show it in a future video. I DO plan on adding more of the plating details to the stern section, as well as the pad eyes. So be looking for THAT when the time is right.

I agree with you. It is a lot of money...over time. That's the big thing I tell people on the fence when it comes to these sorts of models. Yes, the total cost is high. But it's spread out over the course of the build. Whereas the Trumpeter kit is everything at once. It's also a matter of spacing. A partworks model is ideally broken up so it doesn't get overwhelming. That's one of the reasons why I went with this over the Trumpeter. Because getting everything at once with the Trumpeter model would have been overwhelming to me. Also, you gotta look at what you get besides. With the Trumpeter, yeah, you get a great model of the Titanic. But, unless you put out extra money, it's a static model of the ship. Whereas this one is designed to do things like light up, smoke, and have engine movement. So it's up to you. Yes, at the end of the day, this is costly. But you will not regret it.

Surprisingly, only one did. But I was able to upload the video and dispute it ahead of time, so...it may need to escalate to an appeal later, but I think it'll be okay. And yeah, it's the scene you would think they'd claim.

I know. I've been slacking. Real life sucks sometimes. But I'm not only all caught up, I'm actually AHEAD right now, with a great start on Pack 18. So, hopefully, things start getting back to normal on the Frontier.

Well, there's a couple of options. You get a full set of photo etch stairs in the KA set, but you'll have to fold them into the proper shape. There's a French page that makes upgraded parts specifically for this set, with decent quality (not sure of the site offhand, but it pops up in the various Facebook groups). And then there's Midwest Model Shop, which has a very nice set of resin stairs that have very high details. I'm not too sure on pricing for all options. Just gotta pick the one that fits your budget and that you feel gives the most bang for your buck.

Well first off, welcome aboard for this amazing journey! I'm sure you're gonna have LOADS of fun! As for the wooden decking, that's something you would have to find separately. I got mine from the KA upgrade kit, but you could also look into Scaledecks or Pontos. My first special regarding upgrade options should give you more details. You may also want to check out my fifth special video regarding China 3D specifically (the revised one is the preferred method, as one audio track is missing on the original).

​@@TheModelGamerI will definitely be repainting details like windows, engines etc to the right color, but what is definitely going to be most apparent is red hull and obviously the wooden deck better color. So Im more curious how to approach for example antifouling color. I saw you used acrylics, may I ask why didn't u use enamels or maybe some Vallejo acrylic spray paint so it has better durability and resistance for scratches etc when handling during build and later on? And since u did use acrylic, did u use some kind of primer or u airbrushed it straight on top of the stock piece?

@@kadji3033 I went with acrylics because it was the more affordable option for me. As for durability, I handled that by sealing it with a matte finishing spray after the paint dried. And no primer, just sprayed right onto the part with my airbrush.

Actually, Titanic herself was 882.5 feet long. So, if you take that and divide it by 200, since this model is 1:200 scale, you're looking at 4.4125 feet long when the model is done. So just shy of 4.5 feet.

Yeah, on some of these stages, I didn't do so good on sound mixing. I have gotten better as I have gotten more videos up. You'll see as you go on.

Go for it! I highly recommend this. It adds those tiny details the stock model is missing, and they make it so easy to get those details WITHOUT having to glue together tiny parts.

Sure, why not? Maybe one day when I've increased my skills a bit more. The Enterprise was the first model I'd done in about 20 years. The Titanic one is teaching me a lot about working with finer details, airbrushing, and working with photo etch parts. So, maybe somewhere down the line, a model like that could happen. You never know.

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, so many people crap on that song, but I think it's a very great song. AND it's very appropriate for the show it's in. And yeah, it's been a journey doing this model, ESPECIALLY with all the stuff that went down with Eaglemoss. But now, the end is in sight, and I'm so excited about it.

I mean, it depends. Putting in the windows, at first, takes awhile. But then you get into a groove and it becomes just...easy. I'd say, ballpark, you could spend at least 45 minutes to an hour per issue. Some are longer than others, especially in the beginning, and some issues are shorter, but... Put it this way. You will get your money's worth out of each issue. I feel like I do.

Glad you enjoyed! Anyone can do this, as long as they have a passion for what they're doing. It IS a grind, and success is relative. You're highly unlikely to get huge or famous. But still, if you can look past all that and have something you want to share, I'd encourage you to go for it. But if that's not you, glad you enjoy my content, and hope you continue watching.

As you add more panels, the leaks get mitigated somewhat. It's never TOTALLY gone. You'd have to check out Todd Williams Myenterprised.com for details on how to mitigate that way better. But I'm fine with how the build is looking.

Either model has its pluses and minuses. Using my videos, you should be able to modify the Hachette model to make it look really good. With this model, you're getting the metal hull, the working engines, smoking funnels, all out of box basically. But this model is not as detailed as it could be, and it's very expensive, and will take awhile to do. The Trumpeter model, meanwhile, gives you everything so you can build at your own pace. But it's plastic, unpainted, and you'll have to drill out a BUNCH of holes in the hull. It's also a static model, so you will be missing out on some of the unique features from the Hachette model. There's also minor detail issues, so you'd likely need an upgrade kit as well. Either way, you end up with a nice big model of one of the most famous ships ever made. My advice? Look at build videos for both. I'd recommend Midwest Model Shop and ModelBoatGuy for the Trumpeter, World of Wayne for a stock build Hachette, and myself for the Hachette with upgrades. Decide that way what will work best for your situation.
