I used to market Duevel omni speakers here in Malaysia more than fifteen years ago. Even then, their early Venus and Bella Luna omnidirectional loudspeakers were amazing!

How is this a horn speaker?
Hi. First may I congratulate you on a truly amazing speaker. Glad to have a pair myself. I noticed maybe the later type has a Kevlar bass mid range. Is it possible to replace my ones with these.
Could you describe the Sound of the speakers? Could they work in small rooms too?
Markus Duevel obviously has no clue what a point source speaker is. And a omni-directional speaker is not what you want for music reproduction in the relatively small acoustical spaces of a home anyway. No measurements. Just a Rubic Cube style animation.
Mr. Duevel in contrast to you not only „has a clue what a point source speaker is“, but he has a solution to overcome the absolutely artificial sound a point source in a non-anechoic living room would result in. Our ears resp. brains adapt to a surrounding room with its special characteristics and thus our brains learn the room sound „signature“. If there is an omnidirectional speaker in the room its sound will be transformed by this very room sound signature which is recognized and stripped by our brains - delivering the recorded sound field to our consciousness. Obviously, this principle works best with minimal mic recordings of symphonic works or choirs and not so good with electronic, effect-loaden recordings.
Vor Jahren gehört, SOFORT gekauft. Wobei die Entscheidung für meine Bedürfnisse klar gegen Stereo, hin zu "MultiFlexibel" gint. Ein Traum. Phono, Flac, 7.1 TV ... HAMMER Den alten Subwoofer (Monster von HK) nach dem ersten Film ansehen und -hören entsorgt. Mich interesiert, ob es die auch als Bi-Amp gibt ...?

when I make diffusers and horns I use NC lathe because the process is faster and more precise( do not need polishing).... NC milling machines (FOR WOOD) have a minor error in circular interpolation
How do you hold it while you you do your finish pass?
pozdrav...pogledaj kod video zapisa (cca 2:00) i nadalje....desno od lijevog španera ispod obradivog komada se vidi dio pristroja(svjetlije boje), ja sam koristio aluminijsku ploču fi 350 s 8 koncentričnih provrta fi 10. Gornji i donji dio se spajaju čepovima radi centra a lijepi se pod pritiskom. Ja sam si napravio od auto dizalice , one hidraulične pet tonsku presu. Sad samo tokarim s falcem tako da se ploče upresavaju same u sebe. Brže je gotovo i punooo lakše....jesi na to mislio?
@@Colnago1613 jasno je to sto kazes. Ja sam pogresno mislio da on obradjuje donji konus kao jedan komad. U sustini su dva koja spaja i lepi ih. To mi nije palo na pamet. Hvala ti.

Any tuber I expect. Perhaps a Prima Luna Integrated for a cost effective but open-airy SQ, and I've heard they're easier on tubes. Probably what I'll get this week, unless I fall into a CJ PV4 deal with something like a Class-A Bedini which hasn't melted yet - lol

where were these CNC machines when I was building birdhouses? I was getting dizzy but could't look away!
To do The double Side machining you have To size The base of the Horn fist and then create a cradel jig with The sane female measurment of the base To flip It in And doing this using The center a zeri start u have Even The center of the horne. Hope My explanation was Good. Have a Nice machining !

Fantastic piece of work! Plywood is the best material for building speaker cabinets etc.
That's a nice looking carve. I do love the combination of tool paths your chose. I have never seen someone use a parallel pass in roughing before. It worked out well. How did you keep the alignment when you flipped it over?
+Cnc with me! Wan't to know this as well, just started to dig into 3d carving and would like to learn different techniques here. Anybody know how this is done here then please speak up :)

Simon, may I ask what is their tonal characteristic? More toward JBL - dynamic and in-your-face clear & present, or more like Boston, warmer and crisp but not so aggressive? ...or like older Klipsch - just "in-your-face"?
