My dad is from cedar Creek. We absolutely adore the park there!

Have you ever tried Big Darby Metro Park and prairie oaks Metro Park?

Wow. My family 1st resided in Cedar Creek in the late 1800's. My grandmother,father,sister and myself graduated GSCollege. If you go up the hill far enough from your campsite, you would be on my land which borders with the park.

Introduce air flow from above by plumbing in a check valve above your overflow at the fresh water tank.

Thanks for the drive through. Based on your recommendation, we rented site 38 for the weekend on the primitive side. It was a great site as you said. People should know though that there is a hiking trail, approximately 10 steps off the edge of the site. So expect a few visitors during your stay. 😂

Not to far from Hagenstone, is liberty nc. Good place to get lunch is a place called kids. They're always packed so get there about 1100 am.

Thank you for direct decision so many people try to be ambiguous when stating their views I currently have two 2,000 w generators with the continuous 1600 watt for a total combined of 3,200 Watt capacity when paralleled I am contemplating on either keeping these two gen sets or upgrading to a 3500 as you did are there any advantages for a single 3500 watt unit versus 2 - 2,000 watt units? I disperse camping exclusively and I'm looking to see fuel-wise which would be the most efficient My rig is 50 amps but I've been living that 15 amp life for years I'm looking to upgrade to at least 25-26 amps

Something that I've noticed as a local, there is actually another section of campsites with water just up the road from the last one you showed, but it seems like they've closed it off permanently, and sort of let it fall into disrepair. Not sure what the deal is with that. They are up on a higher ridge than the others and bit more out in the wilderness, but it looks like they've just converted it into a debris dumping ground. Kind of a strange waste. Maybe they don't see enough traffic to warrant the additional space?

You will have to let us all know how you like the locks after a full season of camping. Thanks for sharing.

We went there last year and stayed at East Harbor. Could not go in the light house because they shut it down for COVID. Loved the Cival war pow cemetery. In fact this will be our next series. Glad you did not go late May - early June, that is when the May fly's are out and not a good time to visit. Been there, done that

We've been talking about going to New River Gorge in the spring. Now we know where to stay. Good to know about 8A. 👍

We have not really spent any time in WV. Hmm 🤔 think we may need to go there some day. It so hard to decide where to go. You did not make it any easier.

We love a nice camping store too! We have to get our t-shirts and magnets of course 😁 We love WV and hope to stay there more next year (unless we can get a site this year) looked like a great time and great area to explore!!!! 👍

We are based in Ohio. Have not made it to this state park yet. Looks like a nice park. We normally have eaten the food before remembering the camera. Good thing we are not a food channel. Happy anniversary
