So you’ve learned what a Spartan is! It’s a 1946 Spartan Manor built in Tulsa, OK international airport. Owned by J Paul Getty….world’s richest man at the time. Company only lasted 19456-1962. Trailer was just too expensive! The 1946 Manor cost roughly 3/4 the price of a new home in a subdivision. Trailers ranged from 25’ long [including tongue] to 60’ long. Spartan originally built high end airplanes; made aircraft parts during WW2; then built trailers. After Spartan ended production of Camper/Trailers, he sold the company and name.
