That particular section is pretty good regarding access. The middle section of the Tawe which is a local ‘classic’ has had its share of issues with fishing rights holders; but the paddling community seems to be winning the battle on that one over time, through the persistence of local clubs and the national governing body. I’m pleased to hear you like the Welsh rivers - reckon most paddlers in this part of the world would be pretty envious of the rivers on offer where you are!

Yup. I've probably run that rapid some 30-40 times, at a variety of levels. Keep right and avoid the boily hole on the left is the best line. Paddling hard down the guts of it usually works too.

I've been paddling 5 years now, and I caught myself doing the same thing today while I was on the Dry Fork. That paddle lifted over your shoulders with no blades in the water while slightly leaning back must be instinctual or something, because I'll accidentally do the same thing without even realizing it, even though I know full well I should be all the way forward on the deck, and still paddling with a blade in the water until the feature is completely behind you.

I got to run it - but no footage of me unfortunately
