I mean, sampling is nothing new, but Blackpink is awesome. It's one thing to use a sample to complement a certain part, it's another thing to make the ENTIRE INSTRUMENTAL with samples. Like, 'How You Like That' is one of their biggest hits, but the main sound that gives life to the song is a sample! in addition to several other samples in the rest of the song that is a long waited COMEBACK. It has no originality whatsoever! Pink Venom is worse. In addition to samples, they used several lyrics and rhythms from other artists in a comeback that had been waiting for 2 years. In "compensation" they made a stupid chorus, and, as always, another generic song. It's because of things like this that a lot of people say that famous "artists" today are shit. And I'll never understand people saying this is the best girl group, it's not even by a long shot! There are several other defects, their songs themselves have no innovation whatsoever. Always childish lyrics talking about weird empowerment or loving feelings, the order in which the members sing, chorus with meaningless lyrics most of the time... Other things about them also leave big something to be desired, like their stage performances. And the fact that they don't even have 40 songs in their 7-year career is simply a rock bottom. These fanatical fans need to understand what criticism is, not everything is hate. The truth is that kpop fans are becoming more and more amazed by the visuals and by the fact that it is something successful, not for the music.
