Blind Sow Fishing
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 27 ส.ค. 2020
All things fishing! Carp, catfish, smallmouth bass and crappie mostly but could be any species. My dad was my greatest fishing partner and he always used to say after catching a fish following a long time of not catching “The old blind sow finally found an acorn”

Bait boat returning from 300 meter deployment in auto mode. With fish finder active the entire time. It took 4 minutes and 50 seconds and going into a 10 mph head wind. It has 3 hoppers and you can save 900 spots in gps that you can deploy too and drop rigs and or bait. It tells the temperature and will return back to preset home point if it gets out of range or battery runs too low. I like it ...
Never fished before!

A couple of coworkers met me at the corporate lake for their first ever fishing experience. It was extremely hot and the carp were not biting but they seemed to enjoy the experience. #fishing

@@DanielOnTheBank thank you for watching!
By look dale hollow ?
@@asmirkorugic213 thank you for watching! Yes, those were made for Dale hollow lake and other places. No fishmeals in that particular recipe to deter catfish.
Thank you for watching! Got lazy. It is about 90 minutes of video to edit and I hate editing but it was way too much content to publish without editing.
Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it! I do it to save memories as well. This was last year and I just realized it was set to private viewing only. I have a few sets of rods. I used the extractors yesterday but those were my black widow 9’ rods that I like very much. I also have 10’ black widows and that set of 6’ xtractors. I was gifted a set of 12’ custom rods that were Tim Marshals. I really do have a problem! 😂
Thanks for sharing Marty! This is one of the reasons i like to videograph my fishing. These are good memories to have and now you have it on film! Is this the corporate lake you mentioned? Oh, and here i was thinking from watching your content you were running extractors. Doh...
Hey mate, what is that machine you use for making the boilie sausages?
It’s a dewalt cordless caulk gun. Works a treat mate.
I really feel sorry for you…
@@danamcdaniel2027 thank you! It’s a rough life!
I will add an unboxing and full review soon.
livin the bank life!
For sure! Love being out there.
Ok now I'm jealous, I'm still going for my first mirror.
@@TheRoyalAngler thanks for watching. I had to travel 5 hours to get to that lake and it’s a known lake for those fully scaled mirrors. I can’t catch them near me.
Seeing this late what a catch!
@@DanielOnTheBank thanks for watching. It was a good one.
Well done young man great fish , and well done dad for letting do it his self , 🎣🎣🎣
@@London-f3e thanks man! He is ruined. Said the fish up here don’t fight as hard and he is very disappointed that the fish are not as big. I was 55 before I caught a fish that big and he is 10. Lol

@@DanielOnTheBank thanks man! Thinking about trying this out next week. I’ll get some video and pictures and try to do my boat Bivvy justice. Thanks for watching!

Damn those frogs are loud. Could be the soundtrack for a vietnam war movie.... Very well done sir!
Thanks! Just seen this message. Those things are very irritating and super small and difficult to find and scare away.
@@blindsowfishing I actually really dig it! Nothing but canadian geese and coots hollering where i fish. I do like the coots, something to look at while i am out
Really enjoyed the video!
Thank you, man! And thanks for watching!!
Love remote little rivers. Nice catch! Some folks eat carp, myself nah…. But they’re fun to catch 😊
Love catching these fish! I have never tried eating them. One of my favorite places to fish. Thanks for watching.
That’s not remote but nice catch
Give the guy a break it’s still a good catch

Shit fish
Trash fish?
Shut up
Yes
Thank you for watching! Some people think they are trash fish! I enjoy catching them. Grow fast, get big, plentiful and fight hard.
@@blindsowfishing European game fish. American trash fish. Fun to catch anywhere.
@@Outdoorsguy1212 thanks for watching. Starting to catch on here in the states! If people like to fish and were to catch one…they would understand and look at the colors. I think they are prettier than bass.
Blind kid with a banjo on the bridge
Hahaha! Thanks for watching!
Love it! How do you make sure the boat moving isn’t a problem?
Thanks for watching! I have shallow water power pole anchors mounted on the back of the boat and I use heavy leads with drag just loose enough to keep from dragging my hook bait out of position. Toying with using captive back leads as well. I also sometimes use a spike in the bow to help sudden side gusts from moving the boat.
Crazy that my eyes and rod holder can do the same thing for $7.99
Thanks for watching!
Crazy how your eyes can float to the middle of a lake.
Thanks for watching Tyler. Rizzy is correct about the price and I have used normal rod holders and clicker on the reel but this is much more fun and louder and more sensitive. I could probably catch with stone hooks and cat gut for line but I think we have better products now. lol
Ok I want this.
Thanks for watching! I made this from a cheap NGT rod pod and a RAM ball mount.
nice fish, what a beautiful patch of orange
Thanks man! I thought it was cool!
Lovely setup man! I experimented with germans, ronnies and whatnot. Ultimately decided a kicker to the eye of the hook will make any hook turn agressively, so i opted to go back to a humble blowback with the braid stripped down a few mm above the eye to provide that natural movement. Very low hookpulls. Im thinking part of your issue might be the fact that you are forced to compromise tightness of your setup to offset the boats movement but then again, i never fished from a boat. Maybe try a running rig instead? Great video!
Thanks for watching! A semi running is what I am now using with a heavy leads. I figure the heavy lead will set the hook. I plan to stick with the D-rig and see how it goes for a bit. I totally agree that the slack in the line is my biggest issue, it actually makes me wonder how many times my rig was picked up and I never had an indication. I have used the rig you are talking about but honestly can’t say I gave it a fair chance. I could make my boat stay a little more stable if the bottom was a little softer and I can run a spike down and tie the front of my boat to it. I should spend more time finding the perfect spot to setup my boat positioning and anchoring. I really like tighter lines than I was fishing this time.
thats an awesome piece of kit!
Thanks man! Thank you for watching!
Did you actually catch it on the line with a hook? Or did it jump in the boat hitting you in the head and causing brain trauma which is why you are calling it pretty? Cause tha second one makes more sense! Bless yer heart!
lol. It’s a common misconception that people mistake common carp that were introduced in the late 1800’s in the USA, for the current controversial species of silver carp and big head carp……Bless Your Heart! Thank you for watching!
great video! the youngin is hooked for life!
Yeah, it’s all he talks about now! Thanks for watching!
Hes havin fun but ur loving all of this bcus u know how much its gona mean to him one day wen he is older and wiser! 👏👏 hope yall have many many more years of fishing together

Never met a dude who fishes carp. Caught a 8lb on a zebco 202 with 17lb test though😂 worming it
I caught them by accident a few times over the years and seen how plentiful and big and fun they are to catch. Now it’s my favorite fish to catch. Thanks for watching!
👏 🙀

Congrats dude, a 25lb can give a hell of a fight can’t imagine what it would be like playing one at that age
Thanks for watching! I was over 50 years old before I caught one that big. He was struggling but he is only ten. Lol
@@blindsowfishing he done amazing, some people go a lifetime without getting one that big especially a fully scaled mirror they are prized amongst us in England.
@@DunkinBiscuits this lake has an abundance of those and people come from all over the world to catch them. It’s a 27000 acre lake and is over 100 feet deep in places. Nobody knows what’s really in there. Beautiful lake and has some remote campsites that are boat in only. My grandson was smiling for days and now wants a boat, rods, Spomb, rod pod….lol!
