We are a couple military veterans and my son, Jr, and have a passion for vintage street rods and an assortment of other vehicles. We met years ago, and throughout our military careers, kept in touch. Now, with retirement looming, thankfully so, we have started this TH-cam channel for viewers, to enjoy, laugh, and possibly learn something new.
Currently, we have a 1980 Trans Am, Olds-powered 1986 S-10, SBC 1994 S-10 and 1959 Chevy Apache 3100 1/2 ton truck. All are in one stage of repair or another with the Trans Am, being the better of the 3!
If you like old street rods then join us as we revive them, restore them, and have fun while doing so!
We are Patriots, love our country, and are family friendly! Please subscribe to help us grow. We are open for honest criticism, and remarks. Please keep remarks clean and don't insult anyone on the channel, cool?
So, come in, subscribe, and help us grow! We appreciate all the help and support that we can get!

I absolutely get. Physically sick when I see such great cars,Just left used and abused..abandone, to just rust away and die!!
@@leecordell7418 it’s been there for a while. The owner is cleaning up the property and this one was actually his back when he was in high school. I’m hoping we start to get it back to its former glory
I beg everyone reading this to protect their vehicle’s body. Chrysler didn’t coat inner panels too well and almost everyone fails to maintain the quarter glass. That’s where moisture gets in and sits on the bottom!
@@kr2513 and this one is proof
@@rtrgearheads legend has it… Edsel was driving Henry around and they saw an old F100 drive past. Instead of feeling pride, despite being close to his death he said we gotta make ‘em crappier kid. Although this is unrelated to Chrysler it’s telling.

Yes Sir!!! I kept watching a ton of shorts from spot welding, dents, (gave up long blocking) because of what was taught. I’ve had several people comment on the truck, and so on. Thanks again, BB! You are duh man!!

What accessories drive did you use and did you run an ac
@@tannerveron2973 I used the truck accessories that came in the donor vehicle. I did however switch water pumps and used a spacer kit from ITC Billet for that
How did you bypass that
@@user-ln6sx9nt7e it’s been a while but if I remember correctly, I unhooked the switch down by your feet and ran a jumper wire between the two
@rtrgearheads ok thank you

What little I can see looks good, but a darker color would be easier for ol’ blind Billy😉😉
He’s working on getting used to filming and the difference between shorts and full length orientations
Well Billy, it is a Commando green and “fairly” dark. Been using a great deal of your techniques in this restoration.
@@SuperchiefApache you’ve been working hard on the truck brother
I had removed the fuel tank and the air filter a few years ago and I'm afraid I can't remember how to install it back. But I'll keep an eye on your next postings. I'm not working on it right now but that's an encouragement to move forward with the project
There are 4 bolts that hold the tank itself on. Once that is off, you have access to the air filter box. There are a number of bolts that hold the lid on that, remove them and the lid. There are also a number of bolts that hold the bottom of the air filter housing. There will be a few hoses to disconnect. When the bottom of the air box is removed you will have access to the carburetors
Do you have more videos on more work done on this motorcycle?
When we got the bike, it was locked up bad. The main focus has been on engine work. We have to take it apart again because the head gasket seems to have been nicked during installation. What specifically are you looking for? I can try to get more footage of what you’re looking for is top end work
I have the same ninja, it's been sitting in the garage for a few years. It needs a complete carburetor removal, cleaning and installation. I have taken so many plastic parts out of it, it would be helpful to remember where and how these parts go back
@@vatcheohanian2565 As far as plastics, if you are talking about the body fairings, we will be doing an install video on this one and the blue one that we have also. As far as the carbs, once the fuel tank and air box is off, pretty simple to remove the carbs. I would suggest not separating the carbs from each other but to clean them as one unit. If you were to separate them, the connections between them are made of plastic and more than likely brittle and not easy to find replacements. We’ll probably be doing full length videos for the fairing installs. If you check the Ninja playlist that we have, there are also a few shorts on the other one we have
Thank you for the tips. I will keep on checking your videos. I assume I would need some gaskets for the carburetor, correct? Are gaskets easy to find? I'll keep the carb in one piece, won't separate them.
@@vatcheohanian2565 There are rebuild kits for the carbs on eBay and Amazon. Come with bowl gaskets, floats and pretty much all you need to rebuild them. This is the kit I got: www.ebay.com/itm/334544034148?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=1ycxkpaqr5w&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=kBPVzK8WSmq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Putting in work
Definitely trying. So many vehicles to work on right now
Get outta here!!!! Well dun there fellerz… well dun!!
3rd time is a charm I guess
Now that's a sweet truck.
Thanks! I had to remove front calipers temporarily just it can move under its own power once I get tires on the front that hold air. I have temp fuel tank hooked up to the actual mechanical fuel pump and it does run. It seems to be all original. There should be an update video coming out on this one next week sometime
