I'm surprised the cubes are showing up "on top of" your phone. Is that an artifact of the screen recording process, or is the vision pro failing to appropriately segment your arm with the phone in hand? Is it only capable of segmenting empty hands out?
I don't think it's an artifact of screen recording. So it probably is missing segmentation with phone in hand. It also has trouble with other small/medium objects. For example, it's pretty good at hiding things under my desk since it's a large flat plane but sometimes doesn't recognize my chair as a surface. (The chair has a mesh back so that probably doesn't help either.) (Of course, there might just be some solution I don't know of.)
please keep going, your projects are really interesting and seeing someones vr development workflow is really inspiring!
Doom Guy’s so great. John Romero’s life is very random.
Yah I owned it for a while but delayed in reading it since I couldn't imagine it being better or much different than Masters of Doom. +1 it was great. I wish every team member put a book out with their memories of the time.
its time for you to go viral
even as an interrrrnal pointerrrr variable, this is sick!!
This has really inspired me, thank you!
We are living in the future, lol
Totally worth 3 grand
early days, it'll get there in time
Only $700 per portal ball
w vid thx for this, very informative
Nice! Touching balls
That’s so cool
Even as a Pineapple, that’s sick!
So cool
This is really cool!
cool stuff
Looks really cool, can’t wait to see the experiences that can come out of this
I agree! I think there is so much potential for amazing and unique experiences to come from this. It will be exciting to see what creative ideas and possibilities emerge.
Once the snowball gets rolling its immposible to stop. It has started. Hope you enjoy the wave. 10, 20, 50, 100 years this is officially the start of the oasis. Apple not going to let it fail. They're too prideful. learn unity + build oasis = profit.
Wow this is incredible, nice work!
Very cool man
Dude... with the entire house scanned to wireframe, you have real life wallhack! Imagine survailance cameras just constantly updating geometry and textures to give you live wallhacks.
we can have xdefiant airsoft irl
This is really janky compared to what I expect out of an extremely expensive and limited AR device. It's cool, but considering we've had VR spaces for the last decade now with the ability to make and move 3D objects with physics as well as have AR capabilities for a long time, I expect more streamline use of the technology to bring everything together in 2024. Considering AI has come so far in only a couple of years, this really feels aged to me. I'm glad to see you're making good use of the tech, but I don't see this as being something with much relevant use-case in its current state.
Appreciate your view here. You're right, a lot shown here (maybe everything?) could be done on phones years ago w/ mobile AR SDKs. Hopefully things continue to improve into that streamlined future. And I imagine at some point I'd need to learn Unity for less jank/better physics.
@@makeshowlearn It's just a hardware issue. Vision Pro looks absolutely disgusting from the outside.
Even as a furry, that's sick!
I tried this, I shot my grandma. Thought she was a demon
the doggo at 2:40 is cute🥺
Next time I need to screen share to a display so she can watch what the heck I'm doing (or just nap through it)
ok this impressive
Great job mate, looking forward for more!
Even as a nullbody, that's sick!
Yeah, it's pretty impressive how they were able to achieve such a feat without any physical form. Just goes to show the power of mind over matter.

That's crazy, well done man. It's refreshing to see someone with a nice workflow do their thing. Good use of your resources 👍
Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it. It's always important to make the most of the resources we have available to us and find ways to streamline our workflow. It's all about finding what works best for us and constantly improving.
lmao great work
woah
this is so cool! You're so underrated
MR development is sick ain't it!
FIGMA BALLS HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA PROCREATE MY NUTZ HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I hate Apple and their vision (not the goggles), their strategies and their branding in general. But now I want some vision pros, this is impressive, it opened up so many new possibilities.
straight forward man
While I may have disliked Apple before, their innovative vision has proven to be game-changing and has broadened my perspective on tech possibilities.
I understand your frustration with Apple, but their vision pros have definitely opened up new possibilities that are hard to ignore. It's always worth keeping an open mind to different perspectives and innovations in technology.
Even as an orange, that's sick!
Rated E for Everything
I have never seen an orange that looks sick before. It's concerning to see a usually vibrant and healthy fruit in that state.
I don't know why you say goodbye...
Even as an Apple lover, that's sick!
cool work man!! Also looks like a great deal of fun :)
Thank you - definitely very satisfying as things start to come together!
incredible work. would love to see more
Yoooo, it's.. ah no, it's not
insane
Pretty awesome stuff! The excitement is exactly how I felt when I got my Quest 2 working with Godot engine!
That's great to hear! It's always thrilling to see virtual reality technology integrated with game development platforms like Godot. Can't wait to see what cool projects you come up with using your Quest 2!
I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying your Quest 2 with Godot engine! It's always exciting to see what you can create with new technology. Keep up the good work and happy developing!
Even as an Apple hater, that's sick!
@@osparav They make it impossible to repair anything and they work against customization in many ways. Especially as a programmer this is very frustrating. There should never be any parts pairing. That's just one reason. As an apple user I do love the computers but they are so annoyingt too.
@@osparav Reinventing proven tech to make it cost more for the end user to attain previously had functionality is not a good thing. And Apple does that a *lot*. Hell - they invented it!
@@osparav What @thelateweeb2799 said. Customization is one of the most important things when it comes to software imo. That together with everything related to Apple being so locked down in general makes it impossible for me as a Linux user to switch. But I 100% get why people use Apple products, and no offense if you do. I just don't
Its fair to hate Apple in terms of right to repair and price gouging, however anybody who knows/loves tech, knows regardless that Apple has still made some pretty innovating products over the years
@@osparav LOL
this is dope bro
First on to comment, that is awesome, I also liked:)
Cool! Is vr stuff a ton harder or does the vision take care of the positioning stuff for you?
I'm coming in with familiarity with web design/development. But if you're familiar with anything 2D, the great thing is a lot of stuff is really 2.5D-you're just placing something flat in the 3D space. So web knowledge has been helpful for putting UI system elements together whenever I need menus. Positioning things with an additional dimension is harder. Some positioning is taken care of, especially if you're anchoring to a wall/table/ceiling/floor. But it's challenging learning how to adjust things from there or to position things in free space. Objects can be positioned relative to different origins so another aspect to reason about. And I'm not familiar with the nuances so it's challenging to understand the units used for different functions across a few libraries. It seems sometimes it's in meters, others its just a scale to 1.0, etc.
Freaking future, man
this is the kind of AVP video i've been looking for. thank you
why does it sound like you have a bad connection and keep cutting out randomly
I edited some filler words out and probably didn't do the best job of it. I'll keep an eye out for it in future videos!
