Following Skate Legend Steve Caballero on San Clemente trails
มุมมอง 112ปีที่แล้ว
My first time on some of these trails with newly developed lines and features in March of 2021. Great crew with the legend of skateboarding himself Steve Caballero who happens to be a humble and fun guy I was fortunate to skate with a lot in the late 80s and early 90s. Now we've aged a bit but still find time to have some fun in the dirt.
Back to Lynx in Aliso Wilderness w Thai
มุมมอง 632 ปีที่แล้ว
Aliso Wilderness is one of my local trail systems in south Orange County and Lynx is a popular trail with fun sections and rocky terrain and enough tech to keep the juices going. This time I follow local ripper Thai from VeloFix as we start off with a little extra credit leading to the trail.
Repo Man Trail, Laguna Beach, Feb 2022
มุมมอง 4972 ปีที่แล้ว
Repo Man trail in Laguna Wilderness. If you know, you know. Sorry can't spill the beans. And if you ate beans right before riding this trail, you could be farting the whole way down the rocky sections, since tis trail is technical and throws some really steep sections to keep the enduro riders concentrating. Once again, I'm following Thai from VeloFix down this classic trail. My GoPro did get b...
Art School in Laguna Beach with Thai from VeloFix
มุมมอง 792 ปีที่แล้ว
The trail has been getting some work lately by the locals in Laguna Beach, and includes berms and jumps, but still maintains its steepness and rocky sections. Always a challenge, this time I try to stay on Thai's wheel as we navigate the dusty conditions.

Five Oaks in Aliso with head Red Monkey having some fun
Flow Trail Santa Cruz is five star. Riding North Shore BC and Squamish is epic too.
MALLORCA. Also has good mountain biking.
😂 GP5000 flat count....... The rubino was a good cheap workhorse tire. I'm on Pirellis now and they are amazing...
Lawd help you if you get sealant on a matte frame.
Yeah, sealant causes all sorts of issues when it contacts unintended items
Carl's idea of light clearly hasn't been updated in awhile... 😂
Wondering . It’s 2024 . Are they still operating ?
Rj is on one this time. Love it!
Downhill is more fun!
😂
RIP 😢
Holy shit balls dude! You make that look so easy. That is one of the gnarliest trails in Orange County.😲
Ha ha, yeah it's a sketchy trail. Especially sketchy in the summer when the dirt is blown out more.
I rode like 30% of that trail. It is only for the expert riders. I have been riding for about 15 years and im on the struggle bus with this one.@@hyndmedia327
Used to race in the tamiya series in the 90s. I really miss it
What kind of gravel bike is that?
Ha ha, good luck with that bike on a trail like this
Now this is a TRACK! Dang, great job. Thumbs up! NO TO CARPET.
TNA is fun , except for the end it gets tough. Great Video
Yeah, it has been getting some work done lately, but the end is still rough. Lots of fun.
The lip smacking... ugh
Sorry about that. Will work to improve the content and audio.
Their current track is really hard , as a beginner they had a huge triple my car couldn’t do
That's common. Usually the track is set up for mod cars and stock cars. The mod cars are challenged with a hard triple, and stock cars will have to double and single out. But good feedback
@@hyndmedia327 yeah I had to switch to a 18 tooth because my top speed wasnt enough, but once I was hanging with it it was nice
@@Andrew-hh3ol Well be careful, what you gain in top end you can often lose in off the line speed. Not sure what the run up was like on the jump, but most racers often need as much speed before the jump and top speed isn't an issue. There's always a balance and compromise. Usually racers gear their cars to hit top speed about a third in to the straight away. Races aren't won on the straight away but in the turns and infield.
@@Andrew-hh3ol Also, unless your a seasoned sponsored driver or pro, you'll most likely be running in one of the stock classes, so power is finite, so gearing is very critical and with today's modern stock motors, the gearing is now based on a high rpm.
@@hyndmedia327 my car had really fast topping out , but it’s also a basher not a racer , but since then I’ve unlocked the diffs and have been waiting to see if I can go to another track hopefully brushless and more experienced
Is this track still open...thanks for the video
Yes. but now different owners

Really lile the track info you provide in your videos. Well put together. Keep it up please. 1/8 scale dirt tracks please.
My word the track is massive compared to SDRC
My family has had a bad time with reedys speed controllers They are really bad
Lol the title cracks me up, traxxas slash killer... The tamiya trucks are awesome though, I'll be getting one soon for sure
Hi there , when do you think Tamiya will start changing chassis to except 2s lipo batteries ?? Many thanks , Scott ..............
great place !!!! i believe open from 11am to 11pm. practice days are very cool everyone is nice.. and you can order a pizza and simply spend hours there. for those on a budget... you can order a refrubished electric truck from team associated... buy 2 batteries. i have been there some 50X the track is changed every so often
Yeah, I am pretty bum now they are open 12pm. 1 hour loss of game time
Man I'm digging the losi six on the shelf behind you lol anything tamiya is fun and affordable as well has hop ups as your skills grow
Good video BUT a pro tip is to breathe or pause instead of "uh uh uh" and in a short time you will master your talent.
What’s the big car behind you?
What is the size of the track
These got me back on the road course I can't run a race without laughing and smiling the whole time I'm driving it they are a blast
i love the paint job on that rig ! ,my only lament is tamiya not including a mild brushless motor here ,its nearly 2018 ,but why not rock it 1990s style ! .
Easier to keep it a spec class, if you include a brushless motor it's only a matter of time before it's just another motor/battery wars class.
true indeed , it makes it nice and cheap ,not everything needs to be fast .

Very nice man👍👍👍
what are you filming with? iphone on a gimble?
Yep, I shoot with my phone on gimble. But not always. I also have DSLR and other cameras, but because I was walking around I used the gimble, plus I use lenses mounted on the phone.
Can’t wait to see more from your channel!
Stay tuned. I'll be adding videos often
Sounds great!
Nice video Carl! Good steady camera, with clear commentary! Looking forward to the next video!
