    they don't talk about their welds. They brake and it's a mfg. defect and they will not do anything about it. We even bought $400 at the time of a $5000 purchase for some kind of insurance coverage that was supposed to cover up to 5 years. When the weld broke off the leg lift failed and we found out after paying almost $200 to get the chair fixed that the $400 we were told that it was paid to another company?? That's right and we were never told of this and so no help at all. Beware!!

    After doing business with lazboy for decades they have totally screwed me on this last sell. What I sat on on the showroom floor and what was delivered was two different cushioning. I started complaining after the 3rd day after delivery and was told in order to exchange the furniture I would have to have to pay a 30% restock fee. I balked about that and was told to give the furniture time to break in. I was told that every time I called to say it isn’t breaking in. Now it has been a year and I decided to bite the bullet and pay the restock fee. Now they are telling me its been a year and nothing can be done about it. They are liars and cheaters. They did a bait and switch on me and now I am going to take them to court.

    It's a shame they insist on using "particle board", because that's where the breakdown occurs first. All the recliner manufactures do it this way. I was hoping Lazy-Boy would hold themselves to higher standard, considering the cost, but apparently not.

      nope,... planned obsolescence for repeat customer, things these aint meant to last, but to make them mid quality for guaranteed repeat customer.

    I work at lazy boy in Dayton Tn. They pay super good. Plus you get paid commission. Say 100% is making 40 chairs. If you make 200% which is 80chairs you’ll get paid $25 an hour. In every cell at my plant they usually make between 80-120 chairs a cell unless it’s sofas. Which is a big difference. It takes way longer to make those. And the people on her were not going too fast probably so you could see each step.

      Sounds like a good way to encourage sloppy work (too fast and careless). No wonder I'm reading so many horrible reviews about Lazy Boy furniture all over the internet. I just ordered 2 recliners (Trouper by Lazy Boy) which are scheduled to arrive in 4 weeks. Very nervous. The big greedy corporations are buying up everything and riding the wave of it's former glory while cheapening everything we get and raising the prices. It's truly disgusting. I'm glad there's a place called Hell because these monsters destroying every good thing are more than deserving of it.

    Why are my seat cushions stuffed with Dog bed size fiber filled bags..... That are now deteriorated after only 3 years of use and now can feel the support sprigs. 7:28 I'm confused....... Why is a woman testing a La-Z-Boy chair..... Aren't they the enemy of assuring men's comfort.

    I worked at a furniture factory when I was younger. Back then there was no such thing as a CNC machine and all of the frames were cut on a table saw and band saw and all of the material was drawn out on the back and cut with scissors. Most of the framing was made from high quality plywood but where the furniture need extra strength, oak hardwood was used. It was very high quality and expensive furniture. The owner sold the company and the new owner shut the entire factory down within two years.

    • @ratherbfishing455
      @ratherbfishing455 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@waqasbutt3793 It is not balanced like the older ones. The seat is shorter and the angle is different. I have a small leather one. It's comfortable, but I can feel the boards in the foot rest and the padding moves around in the armrests. My neighbor has the larger one and it does not seem as fragile. I wish that I kept the two recliners from the 80s. They were awesome.
