Hi everyone! This is the final piece of Leonard Peck's collection, "Scenes from the Countryside." It is a beautiful musical composition full of emotion and accompanied by photographs from the composer's personal archive.

Leonard was born in South East London in 1889. He developed a strong interest in music from a young age and began taking music exams during the Great War. His future compositions were inspired by his vacations in the Lake District, Devon coast, and countryside.
In 1922, Leonard moved to Seaford in East Sussex with his new wife, Gladys. Over the next thirty years, he composed and published many of his musical works. In 1931, Leonard became the founding member and later the Treasurer of the Seaford Music Club, which later evolved into the Seaford Music Society. The society still thrives and holds live concerts during the winter and spring months.
After retiring from his job as a civil servant in London, for which he was awarded an MBE, Leonard and Gladys relocated to East Dean in East Sussex in 1950, where he continued composing music. Leonard passed away in 1979, and it appeared that all his cherished musical works had been lost. However, after the passing of Leonard's youngest son, David, in 2022, his grandson, Simon, discovered a cardboard box in the attic at David's house containing all of Leonard's published and unpublished music.
Now, the delightful task and project at hand are to revive and share this beautiful music with the world!
