@@user-nx8vp5sy5d yeah it definitely depends on needs, wants, budget, and space. I don’t have anywhere to store a boat. I used to own boats and won’t ever again, unless it was a small skiff or something. I loathe the boat ramp and the people who should be having a good time, but instead turn into the most impatient people in the world. If I ever go back to boats it will be back to Freedom Boat Club, I was a member there for a few years and it was so easy. But again the cost is ongoing. My first kayak the Titan X I put a lot of money into, because I didn’t know what I wanted. With that hindsight I could rig this one out for 5k or less including the cost of the kayak, maybe even 4k or less. Haha I realized you commented on the native Titan X and not the bonafide xtr130 video, yes this one I spent a bunch on but could do the bonafide for quite a bit less, knowing what I know.

I am actually taking it out tomorrow, I am using the new seat setup in place of the primary seat and going to test it as well as another diy I put together. Ill have a video of my on the water review and highlight the seat and have the build video shortly after.

@@BigMex777 edge to edge is 19 3/4 but frantic edge to edge is 19inches even, the seat depth is 15 inches and the back height is 16 or 17 inches depending on how you measure it

@@mackjenkins7721 appreciate it Mack! We had a black lab and she was super smart. We would play frisbee and she would treat it like it was her most prized possession. If we threw it and she didn’t see where it went, we would say find your frisbee and she would do a grid search for it, we never taught her that she just figured out on her own how to best find something. She was amazing. We will have to go buddy yak’n sometime. But first I gotta get the new KaYacht on the water, working on how I want to set up the steering for the nk300 but hoping to get out this weekend, crossing fingers at least!

@@KayachtLife I have a question buddy ? I watched your videos on you doing your custom foot Control & I was wondering about the foot pedal you got . I like them because they look really long because I have big very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe & I am trying to make my own custom foot pedal so that I can get a pedal drive kayak 🛶 to fish 🐟 out of instead of a paddle kayak 🛶 .

@@mackjenkins7721 I put the links to all the parts in the video descriptions, but essentially they are aluminum motor cycle pegs. I am doing something different this time, trying to change things up and see if it works out. Saltwater tears things up quick so looking at something that doesn’t use bearings. I have some non foot controlled steering plan first then possibly a new foot control setup, if it works out.

@@KayachtLife LOL you know i forgot to check out the description man to be honest with you . I am just so frustrated because I can't find any foot pedals that are wide enough for my feet 🦶 . The one that I do have they can't be which to other object & i just wish that they would think about guys like me that have a very wide foot . I would like to see what you come up with man because i fo know that saltwater do tear things up man . Thanks you for reminding me that .

@ I hear ya, but also you don’t have to have your whole foot on the controls, I actually found using the edges of your feet to push the foot controls works better than resting the entire foot. When using the entire foot it pulls away from the rail and puts extra pressure on the wheels and the sidewall of the kayak. I kind of do an even push with my foot slightly angled towards the rail and use the outside edge of my feet

@@ar15gator awesome!!! Yeah saltwater destroys stuff quick. Although stainless is better most things aren’t made with the stainless we need. Most stuff is 304 but that’s ok. I plan on the initial seat video being up this week. It is nice and easy to assemble. I just need to tweak a couple things and it will be perfect!

@@KayachtLife I ordered the seafoam green one, and I wanna put a Suzuki 2.5 hp on it, but I just saw on your video earlier, that there’s a special stern mount outboard bracket that in development, apparently my dealer in St. Pete is not aware of, and I was sharing my concern with him about that with the load and the weight distribution with just a top mount stern bracket, it’s going to be an interesting visit on Monday, because that’s the dealbreaker with that boat for me, it needs an outboard motor to spend long days on the water to travel great distances.

@@ar15gator I am trying to confirm myself about the stern motor mount for a small gasoline engine. I have heard the rumor hear and a couple other places but I will let you know if I can get it officially confirmed or not!

@@KayachtLife yeah, I spoke with Bonafide this morning, and the stern has a max capacity of 3 hp, or 100lbs of thrust, keeping it in the Kayak classification to meet Coast Guard standards, also worth mentioning those two screws on the bottom of the stern area, have yet to be determined exactly what they’re going to be utilized for, guess we’ll have to sit and wait to see what they come up with, but it’s good to know 💯 that I can mount a small 2.5hp gas outboard engine on the back of that boat-yak 😉

Thank you! It is the most stable Kayak I have been on yet, besting my new XTR130. Are you looking at the 12.5 or the 10.5, the 12.5 is 40 inches across. I will be doing a similar video on the XTR130 soon,, it's not a pedal drive but I know a lot of people are looking at the differences between the two, and since I have owned both I figured I should throw out my 2 cents on it.

Probably looking at the 12.5 pedal drive with the 40” beam. I want a stable kayak. I’m 6’1”, 215 lbs., and at 74, I need all the stability and convenience that I can get. THANKS for your response!

@@gronthomson It will fit the bill for sure. I am 5'11 220ish and never felt unstable, that is standing or on the seat with the seat risers. Let me know if/when you get it and if you have any questions. I have a few things I learned that can help, especially in salt water.

@@JupiterBassin yeah def, it’s not a bad hybrid yak at all for the price. I forgot the last reason, since we have a mirage lynx already, they are made to stack so transporting them will be easier than 3 different kayaks. Basically convenience because of that.

Honestly I couldn't tell ya, I never really was out at night, but I think it would be bright enough, because those lights were super bright. Greg, who bought my Titan X is blanking out the in hull rod holders and I think putting some lights there as well. That would be another option too. Could also attach a little light bar to the tray.

@@tbaltz yeah, final version would be like that but I did so much trial and error or R&D that I found myself removing often. These were all prototypes I technically haven’t made the final final version BUT I will be soon and releasing a printable stencil that will be for the version three stainless drill pattern
