Mike, I have a question. How do you get your girls to get pregnant so soon? Do you drop your temperatures and change your light settings to like give them less hours during the day in the winter time that’s what I’m doing and I can’t seem to get any litters earlier than late March.
This is actually the earliest breeding's I have ever had. I normally don't pair until late October. I noticed several males dropping sperm plugs so I went early this year. Yes I do drop the temps to mid 70s and I reduce the lights to about 6 hours a day.
This is the best and most comprehensive educational video about base morphs on youtube. I know you said for coworkers, friends, family, but all breeders and enthusiasts can learn from this. Outstanding..
What do you think is the primary cause of underdeveloped babies? I had a litter that crushed me today, and the few that survived look similar to your one that lived. My female went 102-days, so that seems fine, but I am wondering whether it was temperature fluctuations or what? Just rough, I swear.
Ya it sucks! I really don't know answer. If heat isn't the issue then it just has to be the female wasn't ready for breeding I guess. Boas are tough though . Many unanswered questions with them imo . I always remind my self that they are wild animals in a captive situation so we cant expect them to always behave how we think they should.
@@MikeRobertsReptiles Thank you for your insight, and that is a great point. No matter what we do with our husbandry, it is impossible to replicate where they live. So many things can go wrong, and it makes you appreciate them that much more when they go right.
@@MikeRobertsReptiles I’m in the planning stages of building a 6x2x2 for a SD retic and I’m definitely going to use your method!! Thanks for posting such an informative video
Hi. I'm Alberto and I'm writing from Italy. Browsing through snakes channels (I've been keeping them for 35 years) I discovered your channel. I immediately recognized the type of cage I had seen in Vince Russo's book, which I bought at a reptile fair here in Italy (after a few months I discovered by chance that the copy was autographed!!!!). Your videos are very well done and the way you speak allows me to understand well even without the translation (even though, to be honest, I'm not very attracted to morphs). In particular I really liked this video. You do in 1 hour what I would need a week for!!! I currently have a Suriname and a ball python. Best wishes for your work!
I appreciate you watching my videos. If there is ever a subject you would like me to cover just let me know. Vince Russo's book is very good and I'm blessed to have a few pics in it. Thanks
Great build. How tall are the pieces that hold the track?
pastel dream monster tail is a common line combo. probably what that guy is
How big do males and females have to be to breed?
Females need to be 4 years old and at least 10 pounds . Males will breed as early as 18 months
Just for future reference do you ship these to uk?
I do not but have a friend who can
WOW Mike, she's gorgeous!!!! Love your setup by the way!!!
Thanks so much!
Still in love with the hypo flamingo pastel img i got off you.

What an amazing looking boa
Good idea mate
Thats an amazing looking boa :)
That's clean work!
The real true colors. Alot of earth tones seen in the wild ones are so much superior, as God intended.
Can i just bend a wire that's not pre bent at the end?
yes
How is the heatape position , is it below the substrate? Or between the wood?
Between the wood
Awesome. Would you mind posting a link for the lights you used?

I feel bad I didn't make the live now. Seems like a small crowd. I have a good excuse though. We were playing with kangaroos.
Do you have any IMG males available
