Mike Trout Line Drive vs Me on low game camera. Close Call - Red Sox vs Angels July 2017

Working a low first-build up camera on July 22, 2017, Red Sox at Angels, reigning AL MVP Mike Trout lines a foul ball directly my way and off my viewfinder. Trout had a great reaction, as you can see all the players on the field froze for a couple of seconds not sure if it hit me or the camera. If you listen carefully, you can hear the bat hit the ball & a split second later, hear the ball smas...

1 legit title in the modern era. the other 16 from peach basket era
Peach Basket. 🤣. Untrue but funny. 2 in the 80’s. Arguably the greatest era along with the 90’s. The 60’s & 70’s were rough and tumble all under the basket. No 3’s. Current era is the SOFTEST of all time. Absolutely ZERO defense. And the refs? Don’t even get me started. 10 minutes to decide an offensive player elbowed the defender on the way to the hoop on purpose. Ridiculous
@@pgame22 no one cares about the 60s peach basket pony express era. easy for celts to dominate all 5 nba teams as he and wilt were the only blacks that played then
@@cycl0nnus I think you have your history confused. The meat of the Celtics championships came in the 1960s when they sported the only (at the time), and first, all black starting 5. Those were not peach basket players in that era on any of the teams. (1960s: 8-12 Teams)
Bob Cousy, Tom Heinsohn, Tom Sanders, John Havlicek, Jojo White, Champions, Hall of Famers, Celtics, all there to share in the glory of winning Banner #17!
This is gold :D
PixelPie Thank you man! Great times!
Some day I will a Boston Celtics head coach as legendary coach in Boston Celtics organization that's mean I will be a good boston celtics head coach in the future as professional basketball coach in the NBA I am a die hard boston celtics fan in Boston go celtics basketball team oh yeah boston celtics are the best team history in the NBA ! !!
Loved this team! If not for the KG injury in '09 and Perkins in '10, I seriously think this Celtics team wins 3 straight.
Then with that logic lakers wouldn’t of lost in 2008 cause Andrew Bynum got injured
@@dragosoulgaming5679 Not the same thing - the Celtics beat the Laker by 40 in the clincher. KG was still one of the 4 or 5 most indispensable players in the league at that point.
Idk I don’t think Kobe would have allowed the Lakers to lose the Celtics a second time
Looking to get permission to use some of this footage in a documentary. Can you provide contact info or a website?
4:33 ❤ great footage, love every second of it. will remember that 08' squad forever
Realthinx Thank you! Was a great era for the C’s.
Hey, what's with the gender assumption? Might have been chicks.
Wow
Very cool video either way🇺🇸
The pilot who did the barrel roll was grounded after his awesome flying maneuvers! I just read it in a email newsletter my dad gets..he retired from the 104th FW in Westfield Massachusetts we have F-15C/D here...also when is Burlington getting the F-35s! Great Video! I saved it and shared!
I miss this team!
Y bill there he hated Celtics
Played his entire career for the Celtics and coached them, Won 11 titles with the Celtics. There's no greater Celtic. Also, he is usually present to hand out the MVP trophy at every NBA Finals in recent history.
Why?
@@andresdelportillo9917 the finals mvp was named after bill russell. Kobe bryant was the first recipient of the award back in 2009 when he won against the magic

Thanks for putting this up this is beautiful
Thank you CM for the kind words. It was a beautiful thing to experience. I'm glad that it translates. Happy to share.
Id tear him up

The guy doing the barrel rolls is actually a good friend of mine. He fell behind on the way there and came in too hot trying to catch up. One method of slowing down quickly is doing barrel rolls. Too little, too late, though.
He's actually a Doctor and a professor at Clarkson University.
He’s my dad
Or you can just use the speed brakes…Just sayin’…🤷♂️ these pilots don’t “come in hot “on these flights. They’re actually highly choreographed and mapped out prior to ever taking off. They actually have a Pilot/ground controller in the stadium in constant communication with the formation and they time it in sync with theMusic down to within a couple seconds. There’s absolutely no reason to be out of formation because they’ve been in that holding pattern information for several minutes prior to the flyover. I’ve heard differing things for the actual reason. Nonetheless… That maneuver should never have been attempted over such a populated area. He should’ve broke it off for safety reasons if their formation lost its integrity. There’s a reason airshow performers are not allowed to fly over crowds.
@@resqdiver1 Yes, it's highly choreographed but to the speed that the band is or is SUPPOSED to be playing. In this case, the band played the first part of the anthem quicker than their tape, the ATC in Fenway had the planes break their pattern at the correct point to head for the stadium. The band then slowed a bit, so he put them back in a hold. Just as they were circling again, the band sped up again and he had them break for the stadium again. The outside pilot was, of course, flying faster and in a turn. When they had to slow down, he wasn't able to slow down to the speed of the others. If you look at the whole video, you can see the entire flight trying to stay in formation as the band changes speeds. The outside pilot was overshooting and decided to roll to bleed off speed. Right move, but wrong place to do it. That was the conclusion of the official investigation.
I'm curious to hear radio communications between the leader this pilotduring that moment.
Its MUCH easier to speed up than slow down.
He was keeping sight of 3 since he was above them...so he rolled to the right to keep sight. He really was trying to rejoin...but he kept overshooting because he had too much smash...he was just trying to be quick because he knew they were about to fly over but he had too much smash lol
my parents were friends with the guy who did that
and the 2011 Boston Red Sox
170-180 lbs at 5'9" is damn good, he is a big guy for his height
Also, if he was really trying to rejoin the formation... then what's he doing at 1:04? Haha. BTW I was standing on a rooftop on the other side of the Charles River so I saw the whole approach. Hysterical. I'm just glad the crowd enjoyed it and nothing went wrong.
There were at least 3 rolls, but I think this is the only video on youtube that shows all 3. The TV cameras @ Fenway only caught the final one, so the "official story" was that he made a single lag roll to compensate for excessive speed. Pause at 0:20. There are 2 jets in front and 2 trailing. Now press play. One of the jets in the rear simply pulls forward to join the formation. Hey, that was easy. But the other one "needed" to do 3 lag rolls to rejoin? LOL! Looks like hotdogging to me!
Keith Lezama #15... RIP Coach Cal.
Pat, this was an exceptional video that illustrates all that coach has done for us as men! I am a better man, father, and friend because of coach!!! We need to continue his legacy
CHOKE, The official soft drink of the 2004 New York Yankees
I remember walking out of the MIT student center my freshman year, hearing the rumble, and looking up to see 3 F-16s come overhead... Then a trailing F-16 coming out of a barrel roll right over the buildings. One of the most amazing things I've ever seen, so glad I found this video to experience it again.
i walked out of fenway park onto landsdowne street, plane was rolling, i thought it was gonna land in the 3rd base grandstand 😲
@joecampisi1 no it was still embarrassing
@nitrofreak Yeah you can probably put that to bed considering they won the Cup the following season.
@pgame22 nah i think the flyers coming back on the bruins in 2010 was a bigger choke but whatever makes you sleep better at night.
DO A BARREL ROLL!!!!! :D
@seaswirl79 He hasn't been grounded for some time. He's a good shit, just built up too much speed when they were circling fenway awaiting to the do the actual fly-over.
@JohnnyBoy501 Everyone thinks it was a pre-planned thing; it wasn't. The pilot who did the flip was on the outside of the formation as they were circling around Fenway prior to the actual fly-over, he built up too much speed (The guy in the outside of the formation has to go faster to keep up with those on the inside)...and was doing the flip to displace his speed over distance (Planes obviously don't have brakes). Yeah he botched it, but it was unintentional.
