This is so helpful!!! But 1 question, my seeds took 1 month until a root showed so what’s up with that?
thank you, it's actually quite normal. In stratification period, your seeds may not grow even a single root. Don't worry. They'll germinate after you've sown them in potting mix. I kept my seeds longer than i should have, that's why they started germinating :)

How long did you hang them for?
it takes around 2-3 weeks in a sunny area but a bit longer indoors
You put them in water. Then what? Need more info. If you have a video on "how to" you should have complete steps. What happens when you put them in water? What do you do after?

I bought a yucca palm tree and wanted to ask what the black gummy end on its top is…
The stalk was cut off to promote side shoots or for propagation and that black stuff is wax, some kind of a wound sealant. Don’t remove it

Seed method takes too long to get anything. Just use air layering method and you can clone as many clones of your favorite magnolia as you want, and each clone is far bigger than a tiny germinated sprout….

I did the same method to germinate magnolias seeds. The different was, i dries all seeds under the sun after removing all red skin. Put it inside ziploc plastic mix with soil. Kept in refrigerator for up 2-3 month. When the springs comes, i exposed all seeds with the sun. Voila...98% all the seeds germinated. Now i have more than i need it 😁

Usually they do! Keep its soil a bit damp and let it stay in full sun. If the stump is not rot, you'll see new growth eventually!

non tutti i semi germinano con successo. Potresti anche perdere le piantine se dimentichi di annaffiarle.

@rootsbuds amazing! I have a yucca cane my mom gave me on my 39th bday. I just turned 41 Feb 1st. I have never pruned it. Never cut anything. I have only removed a ton of loooonngggggg leaves so it doesn't have as many now and most are sticking straight up. My 6 branches are sooooo long. It looked like a yucca umbrella. I wish I'd had let it stay that way. This is my 1st time plotting anything drastic for this one
