Kulturfabrikken i Odda barnekor og songlag
มุมมอง 1145 ปีที่แล้ว
Kulturfabrikken i Odda startet et prosjekt for barnekor. Songlaget i Odda øvde i naborommet.

Jacob Collier in Norway talks about Musical Storytelling
Check out "A Rock Somewhere" to hear one of his Indian influenced songs. th-cam.com/video/IaLqkeKx814/w-d-xo.html
4:49
At the end (8:50), aren't they chanting in french "une autre, une autre,..." (which means: another)? Odd if it's in Oslo?
They are chanting "Stian"
ГЕНИАЛНО !!!!
Love Jacob, but he nor his fans could comprehend the absolute genius of Stian Carstensen's musical sensibilities. Stian is an absolute monster.
Actually, Jacob would be the first to acknowledge Carstensen's "monstrous" talent, as he did before this performance: th-cam.com/video/eEtezmOCNgI/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=LageThuneMyrberget. And they've played together many times including at Jacob's own home: th-cam.com/video/trqm7RMJ0As/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=NickeLilltroll
5:05 Jacob looks so delighted.
Anyone seen my jaw on the floor around here anywhere?
Genius
Fin hytte og video !
Amaaaiiiiiiiziinnnnnnnng!

Cool.
Genius and genius!
THIS is AMAZING!
Just Genius. No words <3

Makaløst 👏👏
This is INSANE!!!
What a validating feeling it must be to be invited on stage, celebrated, and honored by Jacob.
probs for us but i mean stian is stian
I've been listening to Stian and Farmers Market for the last 25 years, Jacob is the one who should be grateful to play with him.
It’s true and I think he definitely is. I certainly don’t mean to take anything away from Stian. I do feel that Jacob’s impact and legacy is already and will continue to be much greater. For many of us who listen to musicians loved by musicians, it’s nice to be pulled back into the zeitgeist and exposed to a new generation. My point is this, here’s the 20 something year old prodigy that the critical spotlight is shining on and he’s sharing that spotlight to honor Stian. That must feel nice after a long career to be so honored by someone who is currently on a rocket ship to generational veneration.
Helt vanvittig! 🤩 Hi folks, check out Stian's most recent composition called Hippocampus Serenade: th-cam.com/video/KgXi6WNC920/w-d-xo.html
This guy is extraordinary!
Jacob sings on this track from the same album: th-cam.com/video/gJpqk72HMEM/w-d-xo.html. Really amazing album.
wow thanks, I had no idea he had released anything recently
Absolutly brilliant!!
Is there anyone know what is the name of this instrument ?
pedal steel guitar
@@that1monk tks
And just for the record, this is probably the pedal steel he took apart and rebuilt to be able to do a little more with it.
I came here for Jacob, stayed for Stian Carstensen!
Same thing happened to me. I went to a Joe Levano concert in Brighton in 2000. Stian was part of the support act. Joe was great of course, but it's Stian's performance that is still etched in my memory.
Simply awesome 🤩
Men kära ni!! /Christopher
The quality of this recording is really good.....
...the music too!!!!
I could do that
do it
when you have more tones, more complications to play with so that you can hide the irregularity. It easy if you just practice it tho. Not really while singing but when making music. Progress can be made quite fast with dedications.
I love how jacob arrived to the unison key after massive microtonal and play the final major chord on the piano and no one of you audiences clapped for this Masterpiece
JESUS CHRIST Loves y'all!!
that was just an example but literally everything he does hits so hard to me.
Can someone school me on how to tell a story with arrangement ? I feel like lately I've just been arranging hooks & beats no real storytelling
I went up a semitone and hit my head on the ceiling...the piano sound is so irritating.?like being back in school with miss Bradbury our music teacher ..oh God same tone..and she use to put her finger in our mouths to open them wider.. oh God its brought back the trauma ..one of the Brogan brothers got expelled for biting her fingers..real harmony comes naturally..Every brothers, Simon and Garfunkul.? God that piano tone has buggered me up for the rest of the day..
you good?
Yeah I've been in a few choirs where we've drifted slightly downwards
Where Can I Find The Full Video Of This?
Anyone know what chord he goes to instead of the Gb (AKA F#) after Dbsus? The first time? around 5:32. I love it
not sure but sounds like a BmMaj7/9
Wonderful
Jacob Collier is, indubitably, an absolute genius.... but it's quite a surprise to know that Arabic Music is ALL about microtones!!
Am I the only 15 yr old here than understands everything he is saying
Awesome
I love his brain
listening to jacob collier is like drinking ginger sprite with more sizzle than a deep fryer
The piano seems out of tune because of collier
eg gikk glipp av dette i min egen hjemby :(
The group 'Take 6' will be proud of JC. Great work! 🎙️🎹 🎧
Nice! Ever thought of hosting Philipp Gerschlauer? th-cam.com/video/tv6V4m_kV2A/w-d-xo.html
Why did you pitch shift the outtro music up? Lol.
