Happy-Go-Nessa
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 11 ส.ค. 2017
You can call me Nessa. I love to travel and you can say I’m a happy-go-lucky kind of person. I'm a polyglot- which is basically a fancy word for person who likes learning languages. You may have noticed that on some of my videos I have subtitles in Japanese, French and Chinese. If you speak those languages, you probably will notice that the subtitles aren't perfect. I'm always learning and trying to improve my language skills, so you can always feel free to message me about mistakes I should fix!
About my recent trip, I did a 1 year backpacking trip going from East to West along the silk road. Now that I am back in my homeland Australia, I finally have the time to put together the videos I took and edit them into something fun to share with the world. In addition to making videos about my trip, I also like to write about my adventures and tips for anybody thinking of travelling to the places I've gone. If you like, you can check out my blog which is linked below :)

It's been awhile since I've made videos on my 1 year backpacking trip. I'm hoping to finally start getting back into it! Here's something I made awhile back, and it's a sneak peek to more of what's to come! Here's a quick glimpse of China, Central Asia and the Caucasus region.

Another Side Of China | 1 Year Backpacking Trip - Part 2
มุมมอง 814 ปีที่แล้ว
Traveling to the less well known destinations in China, I realised the country is quite different to some of the beliefs I had formed through previous trips to bustling cities like Shanghai and Beijing. I was constantly surprised by new things I learnt about China. What perhaps stands out the most for me on this trip would be travelling to Xin Jiang, a province that has become globally known fo...
Pi Mai: the never boring Laotian New Year Festival (Songkran)
มุมมอง 1.8K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Pi Mai, also known as Songkran is the Laotian New Year festival. Here's a short video about the water fights that ensue and the traditional meaning of the festival. If you want to know a little bit more about the traditional side, or things to expect before taking part in Pi Mai, you can read it up on my blog: happy-go-nessa.com/pi-mai-the-laos-new-year-water-fights/ Video & Edits: Happy-Go-Nes...
Thailand And Laos | 1 Year Backpacking Trip - Part 1
มุมมอง 1534 ปีที่แล้ว
I backpacked for a year, travelling East to West. I started off my journey in South East Asia, and spent 2 months in Thailand and Laos. The main place I wanted to travel to was Central Asia, but I found myself having so much fun in Thailand and Laos, it was hard to leave. The highlights of my trip was stumbling across an Akha Hill Tribe village in Northern Thailand and celebrating the Pi Mai ne...
Tiger Cave Temple Stair Challenge (Krabi, Thailand)
มุมมอง 1425 ปีที่แล้ว
Tiger Cave Temple is located very close to Krabi town in Thailand where there is 1260 steps to get to the top. It's not easy on the legs, and here's me and the girls from my hostel trying our hand at the stair challenge. It's a nice 3 hour trip that'll take up half of your day, leaving you time to do other things for the rest of the day (if you have the energy left). For more info, check out my...
Krabi Snorkelling Boat Tours

Trying out a boat tour on my first day in Thailand. Being an ignorant tourist, I had absolutely no idea where I was going but it definitely has exceeded my expectations! ( happy-go-nessa.com/krabi-boat-tours/ ) Here's the link to my blog with more info about the boat tour!
Van life Experiment in TINY car (Solo Female Roadtrip)
มุมมอง 6525 ปีที่แล้ว
I wanted to go travelling despite not having much money, so I settled on doing a road trip by myself inside my parent's mini golf. As I didn't have much to spare on accommodation, I decided to experimenting with van life inside the tiny car. Background music: À nos souvenirs piano cover by Pastaga81, he also creates his own music (it's in French but hey French songs are nice :)) and you can che...
What NOT to do on your first Camping Trip (Royal National Park Coast Track)
มุมมอง 1.2K5 ปีที่แล้ว
I went on an overnight hiking trip for the first time, and here's some things you might want to avoid doing on your first camping trip (but honestly making mistakes and doing silly things makes the hike that much more memorable ;)) If you're new to doing long hikes, definitely recommend a relatively easy walking path like the Australia's Royal National Park Coast track! Last year while on exchange in Japan, I became curious about Norway after hearing stories from my Norwegian neighbour, Hogachi. And this July I had the pleasure to visit Hogachi's hometown along with Gayoung; my Korean flatmate and Kurumi; my cheeky Japanese 'tutor'. Big big thank you to Nicolai Heidlas for letting me use his music for this video here! Here's the link to the song, Classic Momen...
Just came across your channel, travelling for a year sounds amazing! Would love to see an update on Central Asia
Hey Happy-Go-Nessa, that's very beautiful. I hope to see more videos of your travels soon, I really enjoy. Hello from a likeminded traveler-heart from Switzerland
Thank you 😊 I'll try to create more videos soon!
Exciting! Would be great if you can share pictures/videos of North Era campground and what to expect for the night stay.
Hey! Unfortunately I didn't stay at North Era for camping. I camped at Garrie beach because we got there quite late in the day. For North Era, I think there's no showers but there is a toilet. It's also far away from the carpark so if you drive there, you would expect a bit of walk to get to the campground. Hope that helps!
Awesome 👏 good on you guys for having a go
Thank you :) it was definitely a great experience full of wonderful memories!
Iyotako
Interesting video! Looking forward to the next one!
Thanks 😘
Coolest tube video
Aww thank you!
Aaaah memoriesss ☺️
Pi Mai is definitely my best memory of Lao ❤️
How much did it cost to travel in SE Asia for 2 months?? Really enjoy your video
Hey! Glad you enjoyed it :) I spent about 1000USD over 2 months. I did splurge occasionally on things like tours and renting rock climbing equipment, but balanced out my spending with doing couch surfing occasionally and staying at cheapest hostels available. That said, usually if you pay an extra 5USD or so, you get super nice hostels compared to the cheapest ones ones available (Even if it's only 5USD extra, it adds up overtime but if you're not travelling for long it shouldn't be a big difference). You can budget in less if you don't plan on doing much tours and are keen to do more couchsurfing, but you might want to budget in extra money if you want to do more tours and stay only at nice hostels/hotels :) Hope that wasn't an information overload!
Cool🥰👍
Thanks ❤️
🤗💖🤗
Keep up the good work
great video!!!!
Thank you! :)
The views on your trip are amazing!! I live in a van and a lot of it is trial and error to find what works for you. Great video.
Thank you! Wow, how long have you lived in a van for?
@@happy-go-nessa9372 I actually just hit my year mark recently.
