I do GP at this track (anaheim), experienced drivers do not use brake unless you're trying to avoid crash. I suggest the full throttle and coast method. Keep in mind some karts have high oversteer or understeer. Subsequently, when learning how to coast, keep in mind that all karts have different engine braking. Some karts coast nicely when you take the foot off the pedal, while other karts feel like you are stepping in the brake, so keep that in mind. I find that those who use brake on this track cause accidents. Good luck, hope this helps a bit.

@@wrinklingtissues1724 the Go pro was given to me before the year end. Go pro was sponsoring the event in 2020. I don't think they sponsor it now. And yes, you can not earn your prizes until you win at the end of the year.

There’s no shifting gears in electric, I’m not sure y there is paddles

There is shifting in some electric karts. They didn't have them enabled for this race tho. Benefits are being able to hold higher RPMs

I look at the live leadeboard.

Possibly the angle of the camera. Nothing has changed.

@@Koko_Sam the go karts have 6 different modes Stopped Caution Map 1 Map 2 Map 3 Map 4 You don't have to ask them just show four fingers when you're in the kart to have the fastest mode

@@Koko_Sam also go to any other k1 that isn't anihime because they will have karts in better condition and you don't have to deal with the staff in anihime

I do brake at the end of the back straight. Most people don't use the brake here but tend to go wide back there.

@@nestorbecerra581 I don't remember specifically. I'm pretty sure 25.4 to 25.6 since we are not using the fast lane to setup a lap.

@@davidgarstech Don't beat yourself up, man. It happens. Is there any opportunity to upgrade the shifter at all or is that not allowed in spec racing?

Same karts but with a display that is worthless since you can only see how much battery you have left.

@@youragent7671 they are real and they work... red button is to reverse and green forward after switching from reverse. 8 heard you can use the green for a boost.

Lap 6. Check the description and you will see the lap count with time on each.

That is a very inaccurate lap time you saw on the board. It happens time to time when someone crashes right after the finish line and then go back and forth.

@@davidgarstech Man, I saw some 16s too at my local track in oxford. Guys weighed much more than me - had no experience and got fastest time while I was in 20s. Whats wrong with their transponders after crashing? Never seen anything like it in actual competition. Smooth lines by the way, loved it.

@@TanmayPanchal46 this has nothing to do with the transponders. All it takes is someone to crash by the start finish line to mess things up.
