My bike, in version 125cc (16yo).

Fantastic sound.

Actually ridden one of these things, smoother than a Bonneville a lot smoother but back in 1978 twice as expensive

This was the worst bike I've ever had , ...the vibration of that engine was so extreme , that batteries got defective in less than no time , light bulbs got defective , rear engine mounting bracket broke off , front - and rear fender mountings cracked , side cover + kick-starter + rear light lost during short trip , broken clutch basket . A friend of mine bought in that time exactly the same bike , and we had excatly the same troubles with it ! No new spare parts available in that time ,.....not even at the dealer ! Well , ......the looks were great ,......but the quality was shit ! Both Benelli 650 Tornado ( shit ) bikes ended at the junk-yard.

Gratuliere zu der Maschine. Ich ärgere mich heute noch, dass ich meine (gleiche Farbe) verkauft habe. Wie die in die Kurven fiel und dann anzog. Es geht nichts über einen Parallel-Twin mit hohem Schwerpunkt. Fahrspaß pur + kostenlose Fußmassage!

Had one of these years ago, did many miles on it, always had the sound of a much bigger bike, ran and handled well the only drawback was the abysmal lights but still great fun.

That's nice. I've a 1974 model, goes really well -just upped the gearing to a 16T gearbox sprocket which fits in nice and snug with a heavy duty chain. Yet to try it on the new gearing. Thank you, enjoy..

The Tornado had been my dream bike ever since I was fifteen or sixteen y.o. Thank you for bringing all these wonderful memories and congratulations for keeping your bike at such pristine condition.

That's in amazing condition. I had an identical '74 Tornado (also yellow) which I bought new and kept for 15 years. This brings back memories. I don't recognise the orange light between the instruments. What is it?
