I wasn't even born when this tragedy occurred, and today is the first time in my life I'm listening to this song but it makes me feel like I'm mourning the loss of these men as if I was the son of one of them.

Unfortunately, my folks left this whirld too early, however, they passed on their taste for amazing music. I’m forever grateful for the music they shared and the music being shown to me from an eclectic mix of sources. Praise GOD for HIS people, in Jesus’ name.

I was only 10 when this happened, and the first time I heard this song it gave me chills, the way he penned the song and sang it...chills, I absolutely love Gourd, miss his vocals and how he could sing and paint a picture with every song he wrote😔😢

Not taking anything away from the absolutely beautiful song or the memory of the crew of the Edmund Fitzgerald, know Gordon Lightfoot could not write a song for every ship and crew that lost their lives on the Great Lakes, so when I hear this song I remember all those souls who now call those lakes their final resting place.

I was 5 years old when this ship sank I am know 54 I wish I could tell the family how I'm sorry for there lose rip edmin fitzgerald😢
